What a great experience! Bought a used Amarok from Vredendal Volkswagen, Johan Compion went out of his way to assist even when I told him I have found another Amarok elsewhere that I like more, (only to find that it doesn't have all the specs needed), so I bought the Amarok from VW Vredendal. Ryno was so helpful, he even organized that my old vehicle's nr went to the new one at no charge! Jeanette was also super helpful, it's the first time I bought a vehicle in one day, normally it takes a week! 80 point check, insurance, finance, car tracker, extended warrantee, valet, registration, everything in 1 day!!! :-) The biggest moment was the reveal... How would I describe it? You must experience it for yourself!!! :-) Thank you Vredendal Volkswagen, I love my new ride!!!

Lets start at the beginning... I bought the first Gen Hubble X100 batteries, 2 of them... Before I bought the batteries, Hubble themselves told me the X100 can communicate with my (at that stage) Axpert King inverter - they even have a Youtube video where they say that. Well from day 1 there was no comms between the batteries & the inverter, so Marius the owner himself send me a RIOT (For free) & told me that should solve my issue. Well, it didn't, so I've used 3rd party software & hardware for monitoring. Since then, I've moved over to a 8kw Sunsync inverter but still so comms. Then after 3 years, 1 of the batteries died, after LOTS of phone calls later, Hubble said it was a dead short on the inside of the battery & they will fix it. A week or so later, the other battery went. Again, after LOTS of calls, they told me it's the BMS & it will cost me R560 (telephonically) but it's not covered by warranty because the battery has a 10 year warranty but the BMS only has a 2 year warranty & then they send me a quote for over R5000 for the BMS replacement. :-( They also told me my RIOT is out of date, so I should send it to them for a software update which I did because apparently that would fix the comms issue. The update went fast but on arrival there was still no comms between the Hubbles & the Inverter. Phoned them AGAIN & they told me, NO, I need another RIOT to fix my comms issue but this time I must pay for it... Well, it's a few years later & the issue is still not fixed! Another thing is, 1 of my Hubbles shows 50V & it shows 100% Full, the other 1 shows 54V & 100% Full, how is that possible? Will I ever buy a Hubble again, DEFINETELY NOT! What's worst than the actual battery, there customer service - or rather the lack of it!

Happy with the service, pricing & products from DroneGear, I had an little issue with a invoice & they solved it. Bought a used DJI Mavic 2 Pro from them & its been LOTS of flying hours later & its still working like a Rolex!
I've purchased a DJI Mavic 2 Pro combo from Drone Gear on 21 Oct 2021. Afterwards I've asked Jody to just send me an Invoice because I'm purchasing the Drone for my Business & want to claim back VAT. She told me they aren't registered for VAT - which is fine but in that case I only need a copy of her ID to send to SARS to say Dronegear isn't registered for VAT & I will still be able to claim back the VAT. It's a few months later & she just ignore my messages - if I knew this would have been the case, then I would not have bought the Drone from them in the first place.
Stay away! Ordered some items that showed "IN STOCK" on 25 August & no communications from their side. I have phoned them a few times from my side already & they told me their stock is at customs. How can you say you have the stock "IN STOCK" but you don't have it? Will not advice dealing with them at all!
Thank you Vredendal Volkswagen, you have redeemed yourself, I have received very good service from Jo-Anne & she managed to replace both my 2017 Amaroks headlights because of cracks on the inside although it was out of warrantee. Kind regards. Henlo

My first bad experience with VW Vredendal was a few months ago when I had a breakdown with my VW Touareg between Cape Town & Vredendal. I've phoned VW Vredendal & asked them if they could assist me. They said, sorry Sir, your VW is out of warrantee, so we can't help you. So there I stood beside the road with my father in law - that just came from hospital, my wife & 2 children, stranded. I've driven VW from my very first car, Golf MK1, Beatle, Jetta, Amarok & the Touareg & now VW tells me they can't assist me. A few months later I wanted to buy a VW Golf from VW Vredendal but the Golf was at a Dealer in Ermelo, so they made me an offer on my Touareg & said I should pay a R5000 deposit & they will get the car for me. Halfway through the process the salesmen resigned & the deal went over to the GM at the Vredendal branch. A week or 2 later the GM made a accident & we couldn't proceed with the deal, so the deal was cancelled. Still wanted to sell my Touareg but VW Vredendal wasn't helpful AT ALL, so I went to another dealer in Vredendal to sell the Touareg but they inspected the vehicle & noted it had an oil leak from the main bearing oil seal. I went back to VW Vredendal & asked them for a quote to repair the oil leak. They told me they cant do it locally but their other branch in Claremont has the right equipment to do the job, so they will give me an estimate. I've phoned VW for a month - every week to ask if they have a quote for me but until today they couldn't supply me with a quote, so I've sold the Touareg to WE BUY CARS, BEST service ever so by the way! Lots of time have past after I've made the deposit on the 1st of April & since then I've asked VW plenty of times for a refund but up to date I have still not received any refund. VW Vredendal was THE nr 1 VW in SA once but that changed drastically the past 2 years, STAY AWAY!
