I've applied for a second contract (DSTV Premium price lock) on the 1st October 2019 and was telephonically told that my application was approved. Since then NOTHING happened. I've send several emails to DSTV, received ref nrs (2425977, 2460704, 2470414) but still NOTHING!!!!! Thank you DSTV for nothing!!!!!!!!!
I have also received a final demand and court summons from Lifestyle Legal for money owed to Loan Tracer SA for a so-called "service agreement" with them. I also received the "agreement" between myself and Loan Tracer SA from Lifestyle Legal. As the "agreement" was via computer there are no signatures whatsoever on the document - only an IP-address from where the application was done from. NOT EVEN MY IP-ADDRESS. I have phoned Lifestyle Legal and spoke to a certain (name withheld) who was so rude and did not even want to listen to what I'm saying - only telling me ... "you have an agreement with Loan Tracer SA and have to pay otherwise you will be summoned". My banking detail on the so-called "agreement" is not even correct. Where they got my name, ID, e-mail address, etc from I wouldn't know. Just another scam to get money from innocent people.
I've sent several e-mails since October 2018 in trying to cancel my membership with QVC (I do have paid-up points and just want to give it back to them) - with no success. Reasons for cancellation being 1) There is hardly ever place to stay; and 2) management fees becoming ridiculously unaffordable. Returned emails always said "Your query has been sent to the relevant department". Nobody ever came back to me. When phoning the consultant said Natasha is working with my file. However, Natasha is never available to take my calls. "She doesn't have an email or I cannot phone her directly or there is no manager I can talk to." While busy typing this review, Natasha phoned me. Only to be told I cannot give my points to someone if I don't pay my management fee arrear account. I disputed my debit order every month since I've asked QVC to cancel my membership. Now all of a sudden I need to pay a whole year's management fees (Sept 2018 to Sept 2019 although we are in May 2019) - this and other fees will now be included in a cancellation fee. This is ridiculous. I would never ever recommend QVC to anybody.
