A Vodacom "partner" contacted me in December 2020 with a discounted data contract due to my longstanding commitment to Vodacom as a customer. I was told that the SIM card could be ported to my original SIM card and I did not need a handset with two sim slots; which was a lie. I have tried to cancel it on numerous occasions in store and online only to find that it was *****ulently renewed in August 2022. I then paid an early cancellation charge as the consultant said that this was the only way to cancel the account and thereafter they would assist me with the claim to get refunded for this being renewed without my consent. That was in November 2023. My latest Invoice received still has this monthly charge being removed; that is 3 years and 8 months of charges for an account never used. ********
iRepair Pavilion Ticket numbers: PAV-2399 – iPhone 6S PAV-2400 – iPhone 6G • I dropped off 2 x iPhones on 11 December 2019 at the Pavilion Kiosk. • My children had entered the codes in incorrectly too many times and devices were locked. • 27 February 2020 I walked-in to the kiosk to get feedback on the status of the repair. Where I was told that they were unable to unlock the devices and that iRepair would need to take the devices through to Apple iStore to assist. They stated that iStore would not accept these without the original boxes to prove ownership. • I dropped off the 2 x Boxes at the kiosk around 6th March 2020. • Covid and lockdown then came into existence and I was unable to follow up. • 24 June 2020 I contacted iRepair and requested feedback or I would collect the 2 x phones and boxes. • After no response I visited the kiosk again and was told that one of the handsets and boxes was missing and they would contact me once located. • After numerous emails, I received response 23 September 2020 that they were unable to locate the one handset and that both boxes were also now missing. They said that they would replace the missing handset; but I was to give them a week to resolve. • On 09 October iRepair contacted me to say that the replacement phone was under final diagnostics, but the boxes were untraceable meaning that my other handset would be unable to be repaired at the iStore. • 01 December 2020 iRepair contacted me to say that the phones were ready for collection (1 replacement (working) and 1 locked phone; both without boxes). • My family contracted Covid and we had to isolate therefore were unable to collect. • On 22 December 2020 I notified iRepair that this was the reason why I did not collect; but I was now able to. • On 26 December 2020 iRepair contacted me to say that it would be easier if they rather paid me for the 2 x devices. I researched this on the iStore for the price of a reconditioned iPhone 6 and this was R3,200 for each phone which I notified iRepair of on 24th February 2021. • Since then, the I have contacted iRepair on numerous occasions and have had no response. Either gross incompetence or fraudulent behaviour but after 18 months I don’t have phones, don’t have reimbur*****t and don’t know where I stand…
