247electrician.co.za is the website I called for an electrical issue, they sent out an electrician called Riaan who fixed a blown earth leakage and some breakers, it worked for few days then the power cut and wouldnt come back on so I called the same electrician back. Riaan came out again, inspected and said that the whole Mainboard needed to be replaced at a cost of R13k which made me highly suspicious as we had just changed the earth leakage and breakers. I called out an independant electrician who found that the wires into the mains had been cut and pushed back in so that it would not connect properly! The whole main board was fine and did not need to be changed so this was an attempt to defraud me which luckily I picked up. The online site was informed and I provided a irrefutable proof in the form of reports and pictures as well but they took no action and said they actually send out electrician from other companies and that they simply market the service. They avoided my mulitple requests to take action. Please be careful with online websites that offer services but outsource the work, make sure you ask an online site who they are sending out and from which company so that you can check them out on Hello Peter and avoid being ripped off by unscrupulous companies.
This company attempted to defraud me into replacing my whole mainboard! The whole main board was fine and did not need to be changed so this was an attempt to defraud me which luckily I picked up. The management from this company (Mariana Beukes and Markus Grobler the owner/director) were informed but took no action and avoided my calls and emails to address. The company 247electrician.co.za also took no action. Please be careful and make sure you ask an online site who they are sending out and from which company so that you can avoid being ripped off by unscrupulous companies like this.
I contacted Gido Gate Motors [URL Removed] to purchase a new gate motor to replace the existing gate motor on my front gate (10th September 2015).

I paid the full price of R4300 upfront and this price included the motor and installation cost. The supplier came out to install the motor and found that the existing motor had a customised shaft so they could not complete the installation. They later said that they could supply another motor compatible with the existing shaft and quoted me R8500.

I told the price was high and asked for a refund which they agreed to but deducted R500 as an admin fee! They said it was for the sending out the installers and for not letting them know that the installation would be complicated (how would I possibly know). I was never advised of an admin fee in the initial quotation or told of a fee if the installation was cancelled and the terms and conditions sent to me did not contain this either.

With reference to the National Credit Act, I have the right to be refunded the full amount considering that the motor was not installed, it was within the 7 day cooling off period and I did not even take ownership of the goods
