We experienced an undetected leaking tap which damaged the cupboards below. Elite agreed to cover the cost of the damaged section and to replace the cupboard doors. The existing door pattern and colour were no longer available and in addition all the side panels needed to be replaced. Elite refused to pay for the additional side panels leaving us with a kaleidoscope of colour's which we then had to pay an additional R22000 to rectify. The ombudsman took 3 months to finally side, naturally, with Elite.

<p>I have been insured with Santam for some time and have, unfortunately, had a spate of small accidents with items such as cellphones, stolen camera and so on. On each occasion I questioned our broker as to the suitability of the claim and was referrred to Santam who duly paid out. All premiums have been paid on due date.</p> <p>Out of the blue I have received a registered letter from Santam summarily cancelling my policy invoking a clause in the contract as I have apparently overclaimed.</p> <p> </p> <p>There was no forwarning from Santam to either my broker or myself and no opportunity to renegoiate the terms of the policy or to offer an explation regarding the claims.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have been insured with other companies for the past 45 years and have never been treated in this fashion.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have just heard Santam's radio advert which states that they look for reasons to pay out- certainly they have looked for reasons NOT to pay in this instance.</p>
Nissan accepted responsibility (at 60 000km) for the replacement of the driver's seat due to the configuration of the seat adjustment knob which is so positioned as to squash the edge of the seat thus wearing the cloth seat.<br> <br> The seat was replaced but at 90 000km the same problem developed - clearly a latent defect.<br> <br> This was reported to our local dealer Hermanus Nissan who took photographs of the damage nothing further was heard from them and on constant query as to progress on the claim I was advised that I would have to pay for the repair at an upholsterer.<br> <br> I complained to Nissan SA and was eventually, after many emails, advised that the damage \was caused by external factors"<br> <br> Clearly this was not a satisfactory answer and my further emails have been ignored"""
