So now we got clever.... I read an article that describes the new way for this forum to ''leverage'' for some dosh - make customers pay to reply to a review! Goodbyepeter.....
Although I have been a client of Cell C for several years, and have a contract with them, they persist with unsolicited, ******* calls from telemarketers that are really, really annoyng! I would gladly leave them, butb the inconvenience....! I suspect they are not alone in this.
Never, ever pay for a 1 Day Premium membership with these con artists. It keeps getting paid, every day, until you finally relise whats been happening. Dishonest!
Like another flagship SA company, W%$&*worths, SAB decided to 'expand' into other countries, ignoring their loyal home base which brought them all the financial success in the first place. Big stuff! It's called taking one's eye off the ball in rugby. I have not seen a Cadtle Free in any bottle store for almost a year. Now the impoted versions are plugging the gap. Back to basics, SAB! WE are your market.
I have been a subscriber to a Vodacom Data contract for 2 years. Without my permission, a related company, Mondo , called me, mentioning the name Vodacom, and since they knew my contract details, I had no reason to suspect that I was not talking to a dinkum Vodacom agent. In brief, instead of a renewed contract with a replacement Router device, I get a SECOND contract that I certainly don't need. Dialling the number 0861 236 666 I found it impossible to get through to a live person. I drove to a Vodacom store to sort it out, a month ago, with promises to have the device collected so that the 2nd, unnecessary contract can be cancelled - to no avail. Apparently it is not actually Vodacom, but a confusing alignment with another company called MONDO, which they referred to at the Vodacom shop as Vodacom Rewards. I have been rewarded with weeks of hassle for 2 years of loyal support! Ndumiso is my contact there, and the truth is not in him. WHY does a reputable (?) company like Vodacom team up with other companies unknown to us, the c ustomer, and give them information to make deals on it's behalf? Is this not de facto abuse of customer's confidential information? Bruce Cleary.
A few years ago I moved my Insurance to Santam, believing they still upheld 'old-fashioned' values such as straightforwardness and honesty. Alas - I experienced a house robbery and have found that I have been paying R300/month for nothing, except transport of goods when moving house. How often will I do that? Apparently the requirements include security guards, electric fences, etc. So, they are able to insure about 0.5% of South Africans if that is the case. So, I tried to contact my closest Santam office, likely East London. The information I gleaned on google is incorrect- the office Santam cklaims is their;'s is actually Cartrack, and they told me that they notified Santam years ago that the information is incorrect on the site. It's been 3 weeks, and no closer to finding out if my claim has any chance of success. Mamparadom comes easily to these arrogant scam artists. Bruce.
HWith an address in Luxembourg, this site seems to hit on 3rd world countries. I doubt they could get away with their methods under European law. The photographs of 'subscribers' sent to your inbox are of models, not the real person. The real person has to 'release' their photo for you upon request. Worse, if you subscribe at the 'special' monthly rate of R199, the subscription is automatically RENEWED monthly at...YES....R999! Now, it mentions that in the fine print at the bottom of the pay page, but easily overlooked. And wait - you cannot just unsubscribe on the site at the click of a button - too easy! One must FAX or EMAIL within 14 days to do so. A spiders web indeed. Avoid!
Singles 50 advertises online, and its easy to join - online! But many features are not available unless you pay. They advertise a special 1 month membership at R99/month. Fill out form for card payment. No problem. I was unhappy about the model-quality 'stock' photos they insert into the profiles of women who have not supplied/have not made public their photograph. Towards the end of the montyh, I tried to unsubscribe - no can do. Finding a help button, I read through reams of print, including - this is the catch - one must FAX an unsubscribe letter to an address in Luxembourg! I found a 'contact us' and emailed, received a polite enough reply...'we are sorry...bla bla..' - but a few days later I was billed for R 490 - Ouch! The helpline to my bank was unhelpful...'well, you filled in the form, naughty lad.....' so I had to cancel my card, and apply for a new one. Please don't use this site.
