Paid almost 20k to rent the vehicle in advance, got a confirmation that the payment and reservation was in place and I would receive paperwork to confirm. Received nothing despite multiple requests, and on the day of pickup, was then requested for another 22k. 2k of which was a further payment for God knows what. had I known that another 20k was required, I would have made the funds available in advance but I didn't know and subsequently spent about an hour trying to move money around on my banking app to accommodate this nonsense. In the end I had to borrow funds from my own guest, because I couldn't get through the red tape on my banking app to increase limit on credit card. Rather embarrassing and totally avoidable. Pathetic communication and service in general, I will not use these fools again and do not recommend to anyone else.
****MERS! These guys take your money and deliver nothing. Then just ignore your communications. I ordered something in July, it's now October. nothing yet, and my enquiries ignored. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!
I've been trying to get a claim that's owed to me for most of the year. It keeps getting pended for paperwork, which I've already sent. I posted a review on Hello Peter with all the details and voila! someone bothered to call the very next day. I explained and showed the proof, and was promised action and feedback. I've received neither. my claim was laughably pended again, and my feedback was nothing. I noticed however that Discovery posted a nice little response on my original review to say they have responded, but I am unable to revert and explain that their response was worth NOTHING. Why can't i respond to my own review Hello Peter?
Dear Discovery Medical Scheme, I have submitted a claim, claiming back expenses I incurred earlier this year, which I am absolutely entitled to do. This is not a favour, this is part of why I pay you almost R100k per year. I have submitted this claim at least 8 times, and keep getting the same automated response to say that the claim has been pended for some paperwork which I've sent several times, clearly marked and with full additional explanation. At this point it's been several months that you've essentially refused to pay, without refusing to pay. I don't for a second believe that you are genuinely unable to find the paperwork I've sent several times already, and this is simply a tactic you employ to make people frustrated so that they give up on trying the get thier money back. However, if you have managed to find the only case managers in the world who can't read, then wake up and get some competent people please. But, as I said this is clearly a tactic to not pay people what you owe them in an attempt to make them give up and drop the issue. I must admit I was tempted to, but then I realised that you would hand me over for a couple bucks so I'm going to make you pay, you bunch of absolute **** artists, who take my money and refuse to pay when it's due.
Called the dealership about a car I wanted to buy and was told that they are closing and couldn't see me straight away. That was 12:00 in the day. Spoke to Caroline. Was also told that I won't be allowed to apply for finance, it had to be cash even though the car was only 4 years old. I called back the following day and was told that actually the dealership is open according to appointment, but because I had a meeting in the morning, I made an appointment for later that same day. A few minutes later, Caroline called to say the car was sold. I made arrangements to get my hands on R50k overnight, and to get there as quickly as possible after being denied an immediate viewing the previous day, and the car was sold without me even getting a chance to make a counter offer or even being allowed to see the car. I'm so disappointed, this is pathetic service.
I don't understand. I pay the bank to use their services to manage my money. When I have a problem there is nobody to talk to, they hide behind their pathetic APP and make it as difficult as possibel to get a problem resolved. Should it actually be that someone is actively comitting fraud and stealing your money, FNB will be sure to make it impossible for you to address the issue by making it as frustrating as possible and offer zero help whatsoever. just keep paying those hidden costs they love slipping into your account every month right? Wrong. I'm taking 20 something years of business somewhere else, I'm done with you bunch of useless crooks
<p>so I've been to two events recently, bott used the service provided by howler.co.za, which provides cashless services.</p> <p>after being told several conflicting things by the people at the concert, the website, and the support email account that they have online, the final result is that I have now been ripped off as they refuse to refund my money.</p> <p> </p> <p>THIS IS A RIP-OFF. To big concerts and everyone else using these services, know that I will avoid events using these rip off artists and I will do my best to encourage everyone I know to do the same.</p> <p> </p>
