I received clear isntructions from the consultant and my quey was addressed with clarity and good understanding.
Tariffs are very very high, especially now that we have load shedding. We dont consume that much electricity however our electricity bills are always unrealistically high. We also have a shared meter which means the bill is divided by all residents, which is also unfair because we dont consume the same amount of power.
I am not happy with the services rendered. I was contacted by a sales consultant by the name of Ntlhompheng Khoatane who was assisting me. At the time I was already under debt review and didnt require another review process. However she insisted that they would debit the same amount that was currently being debited from my account, and that I wouldnt be adversely listed. I only needed to pay a small once off admin fee. After signing a contract a debicheck was imposed on me which was to go off at the end of the following month and so they advised me to cancel my current credit review agreement in order for them to debit my account. The trouble started when the cancellation process took longer than expected so I approached Anglo Debt Assessors to request them to move out the debit order date by one month in order to avert a double debit. Ntlhompheng Khoatane was advising me then referred me to another consultant by the name of Tammie she was unable to advise me properly and kept referring to her line manager but I was not getting any proper answers and eventually I phoned and asked for the line manager who also didnt seem helpful and didnt know what to do and couldnt even advise me properly. As a result the debit order date elapsed and my account was debit twice, which really adversely affected my cash flow and I failed to make certain key payments. I then tried to get a refund from them and they advised me to go to the bank to reverse the payment, and so I went to the bank and they then told me that they couldn't reverse the payment because Anglo Debt Assessors had put measures in place to prevent this. Despite my frustration I phoned ADA to ask them why they were preventing me from getting the money refunded considering that the money was to go to my creditors and not them, in any event they had not done anything for me apart from open an account. But they simply told me that they do not refund and so they extorted over R 3700 from me just like that for doing absolutely nothing without any kind of recourse. I even canceled the so called contract hoping that they would refund me, but I recieved no assistance what so ever. These people operate with impunity and will take advantage of you. They are haughty and arrogant. I really would not recommend anyone to accept their services. It is despicable that a company such as this will blatantly take advantage of individuals rather than supporting and assisting as per NCR code of conduct. Thier website also does not provide clear information, and the provided contact information does not work, provided email addresses and phone numbers do not work. Please be weary of these people they are not straight forward and honest. In the end I recieved extremely poor service much to my dismay and I was extorted.
Quintin Barnard, was courteous kind and understanding and managed my query professionally without taking alot of time.
We made a booking for 2 rooms, and later cancelled the fillowing day, sent a email to the establishment, but there was no response from them, it was not until we phoned them that we recieved any attention, we told the receptionist that on the website it was indicated that full refund is possible before October 23rd 2018, however, the recptionist denied this insisting that only 30% refund is possible. When we queried this she furher insisted that there is a 30% refund 60 days prior to arrival. We made it clear that the cancellation was made before the 60 day stipulation. She got angry and start hurling racial and belittling insults . This is a 4 star rated establishment and it is such a shame that we still have white racists in South Africa. We are quite disgusted with this type of behaviour and will never recommend this place called Forest Lodge in St Lucia Kzn to anyone.
I hired a White Nissan Hardbody on 19th December 2017 from a company called "The Rental Boss " based in Fourways, with the expectation of returning in on 27th December 2017. However, before I could take the car I was required to pay 6000 rand deposit and pay for the days that I expected to rent the car at a rate of 600 rands per day in advance in all I had to pay 10900 rands before getting the car. I finished my trip early and wanted to return the car on 24th December, however the office emergency number was not working , the office landline and cellphone were also not working. There was no way of communicating with this company. I eventually got hold of someone on the 27th December and arranged for the car to be dropped. I then expected a full refund of my 6000 rand deposit since there was not incident no accident no fault while the car was in my care. I also expected to recieve a refund for the days that I did not use the car (between 24th - 27th December 2017). What happens instead, is that they deduct 3000 rand from my deposit and only pay me back 3000 rand and I dont even get refunded for the days I didnt use the car. This to me is day light robbery, these are scumbags. I believe I was exploited simply because I am not south african, made to pay for the hire in advance and on top of that I didnt even get my whole deposit yet I was assured I would get it back in full. Someone needs to investigate these guys. They are a bunch of crooks who take advantage of honest gainfully working foreigners living in south africa. Can someone please help.....I am extremely frustrated and dont know what legal recourse to follow. I NEED TO GET MY MONEY BACK...
