Propaint painted the outside of our home in January 2015. In October paint started peeling off on a area where we requested specific treatment during the quotation period and reminded the painters and Rodney, the Propaint the representative, of during the painting of the area. Since November I tried to reach Rodney via e-mail. I left several messages in January on the Propaint contact number and was eventually contacted end of January.

I was told that Rodney was 'only trading under the Propaint name' and was asked not to continue as 'he delivered substandard work'. I was asked to contact him directly.

We paid a huge premium to cover ourselves from 'substandard workmanship' by choosing to use a big company. There was no form of transparency during the quotation period to inform us that he is not officially part of propaint.

We want Propaint to honour their guarantee. They have lent there name to the contractor and should therefore take responsibility for the result. It is not up to us to resolve internal issues.
