On 21 July, two residents of our street reported a leaking fire hydrant in front of their homes. The City of Cape Town only responded on 24 July, declared the issue resolved, and left. However, the hydrant continued to leak, prompting another service request on 28 July. It is now 13 August, and our street remains flooded. Despite numerous residents logging requests and following up daily, there has been no further response from the municipality. We are deeply frustrated by the ongoing water wastage, the damage to the road and pavement, and the apparent disregard from the City of Cape Town. You claim to be the best-run municipality in South Africa, yet this situation reflects a troubling lack of urgency and care. The continued inaction is not only environmentally irresponsible but also undermines public trust. We urge you to take immediate and effective action to resolve this issue before further damage occurs.

Our business acquired a contract with Vodacom through a third party for 20 IOT sims. We were not properly informed beforehand that the contract will be for 2 years. We are a startup business and our contract with our client expired and we no longer need this service. When trying to cancel this contract, the third party consultant simply provided a quote for the outstanding amount on the 20 IOT sims. I therefore contacted vodacom directly to try and resolve the issue. Speaking to the call centre about an IOT contract proved to be nearly impossible. I only received feedback when contacting the sales department and asking for assistance. I was transferred to many different departments before speaking to a consultant. The only positive experience was talking to this consultant. She did her very best to find out what my contract entailed and I was given en email address. I sent my cancellation request to this address on 11 April. To this date I have not so much as received a confirmation that vodacom has seen my request. I am very dissapointed and despondent as dealing with vodacom on IOT matters seems impossible.

<p> A few months ago I complained about the state of the Waterstone Spur bathrooms. Yesterday we had a party there in the afternoon and I took my baby into the bathroom at 16h00 on a Friday afternoon and the bathrooms were spotless. What an incredible improvement. The arrangement of the party with Bandile and the service during the party were well handled and I am very grateful for a very positive experience. The caretakers in the play area were a great help. Thank you!</p>
The Waterstone Spur in Somerset West has an amazing play area so we go there often. The waiters are generally friendly and although service can be somewhat slow at times they are reasonably efficient. The managers on the other hand are very often rude and make you feel most unwelcome. After standing at the door for a while I followed a manager to a table today and as we planned to get seated was told in a very patronising and rude way that it is not our table, but the people behind us sit there. This is not my first run in with the managers and I honestly think they are damaging their branch and the Spur brand with their horrible attitudes. <br> <br> A few months ago I complained to 2 managers about the horrible state of the bathrooms. It is a nightmare using the facilities with small children. I again had to send my 8 year old to a bathroomwith a broken lock today. The previous time I could not find a toilet for my 4 year old that was not wet or smeared with faeces. Come on! This is a very basic thing! You make millions out of your customers, surely you can spend a few rands on fixing and maintainingyour bathrooms!
We have recently upgraded our contracts. Our new phones requires the use of a smaller sim card and we need to do a sim swop. My husband is the account holder and have tried 3 times without success. The first time the call centre was offline the second time he battled through a huge amount of security questions after which the agent told him that he is in the wrong department. He was transferred, battled through the same questions, another set of security questions, was asked to hold on to complete the transaction via an automated system and was cut off. He phoned back a third time, was transferred two times and succinctly warned the agent that he was cut off previously. He again redid the same questions, again held the line and was again cut off. I am so irritated to be stuck with cell c's incompetence for another 2 years.
Propaint painted the outside of our home in January 2015. In October paint started peeling off on a area where we requested specific treatment during the quotation period and reminded the painters and Rodney, the Propaint the representative, of during the painting of the area. Since November I tried to reach Rodney via e-mail. I left several messages in January on the Propaint contact number and was eventually contacted end of January. <br> <br> I was told that Rodney was 'only trading under the Propaint name' and was asked not to continue as 'he delivered substandard work'. I was asked to contact him directly.<br> <br> We paid a huge premium to cover ourselves from 'substandard workmanship' by choosing to use a big company. There was no form of transparency during the quotation period to inform us that he is not officially part of propaint.<br> <br> We want Propaint to honour their guarantee. They have lent there name to the contractor and should therefore take responsibility for the result. It is not up to us to resolve internal issues. <br>
The staff at the new Woolworths Vergelegen branch are an exceptional team. They make it an absolute pleasure to shop there. They do all the little things right and are incredibly helpful. I have not yet experienced such professional and friendly service. I visit the shop often and always leave feeling like a queen! Well done to you!
