Ordered meals for a family of 7 and was utterly disappointed by the customer service and food quality.
During a time of a pandemic and the hospitality industries bearing the brunt I have not come across such poor service than QBNS. During this time 1 would expect restaurants to put in more effort into customer service and the quality of their products. After a week of the economy facing a major crisis, I understood when the restaurant may of had a shortage of items however what I fail to understand is poor service.
My order which was a take away was packed before hand when I ask for it to be kept warm, there were no cutlery or serviettes, the waiter was uninterested to clarify what my order entailed therefore I had to check each item on my own and when asked to purchase a sauce I was told it was in a bottle but I can not see it but it has been charged for.
I had called the manager and spoken to the manager about the poor quality of the items as 7 minutes later from the store the food was cold and not what I had expected my order to entail.
Manager was very rude and said that I was supposed to ask for cutlery or crockery, which is absolutely absurd as during this pandemic restaurants provide all utensils together with your order, waitrons also ask you to check your orders whilst they are present, i had specifically called way ahead of my pick up time and asked to have my order kept warm but it was packed and lastly you can not advise your customer you will show them an item and then come back and say you can not show me the item but have charged me.
I have been to many restaurants in the Umhlanga area especially during the pandemic and having ordered for the 1st time from Qbns I am utterly disappointed and disgusted by the service provided. I was aware that although the name is Qbns the menu is of Ocean Basket but after the service and quality received I have doubts.
