I bought a used BMW 1250 from RAD Moto. I am based in another country so after payment went through (2nd February) I informed the salesman that I would be flying down to collect the bike on the 9th February and he needed to have all documentation ready (Police Clearance, De registration etc) He assured me on several occasions that this has been done. When I arrived on the 9th @ 16:30h I requested to have all the documents so that I may pass them onto my freight forwarder. The salesman said that they were not at the dealership but he would arrange to have them delivered at 08:00 the next morning. At 08:00 I called from my freight forwarder to see where the document were. He said they were on their way. At 09:00 we called again and offered to collect them as they were causing a delay. Again he said the driver was on his way and pointless to travel to the dealership. This went on for several hours and the salesman stopped answering the phone. Just constantly saying the driver was on a delivery and would deliver shortly then finally he said that the docs were not finalized and it would be Friday AM. Friday was my pre arranged departure date from the hotel so I had already had Covid test for travelling. Again same rubbish as before until I phoned the MD of RAD Moto. He also tried to say that the documents were delayed by the system, however I subsequently found out from another employee that they had actually only started the process on the thursday and had incorrectly done it. Therefore it started again today (Monday 14th) I agreed with the MD that my costs would be covered for the extended stay and extra covid tests. However this remains to have been realised as I am still sitting here 4 days after original departure date. I will update as and when a resolution is obtained.

After Miguel arrived he destroyed one of the best KTM dealerships worldwide. For starters he told 26 people to find another job and with his arrogance went on to destroy what was a flagship store for the KTM brand. He took the number 1 store and in a matter of months was 6th in the country. The service is disgusting and no one there has a clue what they are talking about. I went to Fast Ktm and it is worlds apart.

My name is Peter and I just had a terrible experience with Rad Moto KTM in JHB !!!! I went in to sell my 2016 KTM RC 390 and delt with the manager there named Miguel. I showed the clear pics of my bikes told him the year of my bike which he said he could tell by the colours etc. We agreed on a price of around R 48 000-00 and I was excited so I got my bike there the same day. When I got there with the paperwork Miguel's ENTIRE story changed and told me he could only sell it as a 2015 model and they needed to spend a large amount of money on it etc etc !! Just try to really ***** me out of money. I told him that I still wanted to purchase an adventure bike from them along with kit and bring my offload bike in and all my riding friends in etc. He said that was all talk and I would have to prove that to him !!!!!! Hows that !!!!! So he eventually knocked me down to R 41 500-00 and told me he was going to sell it for 55k easily !!!! I asked for the money say day and Miguel then said that they would only do the payment by the end of that week. I was not happy with that but had no choice as I was going away the next day. I then get a call 2 days later from their salesman Patrick to give me some rubbish story how they cannot pay me because their payment systems were down ???? I demanded they deliver my bike back to me, so the following Tuesday it arrived at my house along with the workshop manager who does the 20 point check over with me and says that because the bike only has 12 000 kms that they would only need to service it and do the chain and sprockets at around 15 000 kms and all it needed was a rear tyre !!!!! So that just proved then and there that Miguel was lying to me to ***** me out of money !!! So I will NEVER go back there again, warn all my riding friends of them and I urge all the readers to STAY AWAY from RAD MOTO KTM in JHB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you

I gave my friend a new ktm 50 clutch -I have 3 witnesses ' complete with clutch basket which was meant to be fitted at Rad Ktm by their so called mechanics. I marked my clutch before giving it to my friend. Before giving the bike back to my friend they wanted him to sign saying he gave them a worn damaged clutch but will still work for now. What a lie. We opened the clutch today and took the clutch out as the clutch did not work. There is a old completely damaged clutch in there not belonging to me or my friend. If this matter is not resolved by 9am Monday I will take every legal action and social media action locally and internationally. This is just on my side, my friend that was swindled out of money and lied to will be doing the same.

I recently traded in my 1050 for a used 1190. The experience has been such an awesome adventure (excuse the pun), RAD offered me a good trade in on the 1050, and assisted me with the finance through my bank of choice, and assisted me in transferring the after-market extras that I had added to my 1050 to the 1190, without a hassle.

I would like to give a big shout out to all the RAD staff and thank them for all they have done for me. Morne, Mark, Shaun, Andries, Heather, Pixi, and the rest of the workshop team (sure I have missed a few).

Your service ethos is commendable; Keep up the great work guys!!

1) I took delivery on a BMW 650 X-challenge motorcycle under the pretense that it had a full service history with BMW. After delivery, the book indicated 2 services at BMW and the last one was done by RADMOTO - after I bought it.
2) Prior to parting with the R43000 I paid for the bike, I asked that they check all the necessary tools to repair the bike were there. On delivery of the bike, parts were missing and they said they would replace them - this was never rectified.
3) Since having the bike its had electrical problems. Main headlamp not working, flickers not working and tail light not working.
4) 2.5 months later and no roadworthy, no registration documents.
5) In 2.5 months, they have had my bike for extended periods in their workshop, only to return it with lights still not working or something being wrong with it. I have not had one day with this bike where everything has worked.

Do not buy from them, you will have very little recourse for the lack of service!!! Save yourself the frustration...I should have and it was my first bike!
