This site reflected a multitude of complaints against Raleigh Bicycles last year. Most strange that only 2 complaints are now showing? I purchased a new Raleigh Ranger in October 2025, and having cycled less than 60kms needed to have RUSTED BEARINGS replaced. This has been the complaint of loads of consumers previously on this platform, Communication from Raleigh is appalling, and after 3 months of nagging them I am absolutely dissatisfied with their response. I will be taking this matter further ON BEHALF OF ALL UNHAPPY CONSUMERS AGAINST RALEIGH BICYCLES . DO NOT PURCHASE A RALEIGH BICYCLE ! If there was a ZERO star that is what would be given.

Bought a Raleigh Spectra bicycle for my son yesterday and there were parts missing from the box. This morning, I called the head office at 8h10 and 9h00 and was advised that I will be contacted. It is now 1pm and no response. I also emailed yet no response

I am so disappointed. Bought a Raleigh bike with training wheels for my son. He loves it rides daily. The training wheels rubber though cam off within a week. I took the bike back to Makro Milnerton, where the Raleigh sales rep blamed me for the rubber coming off. He refused to replace it. The manager though was very helpful and replaced the wheels. The sales rep then said that he guaranteed that now because the wheels were balanced the rubber would not come off again. He 2 weeks later - rubber of training wheels is coming off again. So unfortunate - have tried to contact Raleigh themselves with no response from them. And all I get from the rep is that they will not replace them again. We bought the bike on 24 September - it's just over a month old and the training wheels rubber is not holding. Super disappointed.

I bought a raleigh bike for my daughter at game , after 2 days The pedal came out and its axis was skewed. i went back to game and they declined any return within 5 days and asked me to check with raleigh guy the day after which he refused even to exchange the pedal, saying they give warranty only for the frame. Game used to have very good customer service , now they sell ******* and and they ignore customer rights to return within 7 days

A few years ago I bough my first Raleigh Ebike at Makro, there were some teething problems with the bike but the Raleigh agents really came to the party and sorted everything out directly for me, my friends subsequently also purchased Volt2 bikes and are very happy with them. However a month or so ago I saw a newer version at Makro which appeared lighter and more appealing so I advertised mine and sold it almost immediately and went into Makro Riversands and bought my new Raleigh Assist but on getting it home found that it didn't work. I bypassed Makro returns and contacted Raleigh direct again and within hours not only did the representative Prince appear at my home but the technical person Pieter also came bringing with them another brand new bike. They sorted everything out, gave me another charger and left. As fate would have it the charger didn't work, after a call to Prince he appeared with another. My first 25km ride was really great except I found that the power switched off occasionally, I mentioned it to Prince and again within hours he uplifted the bike to get it checked and is now as I type on his way back with it sorted. What fantastic service Raleigh give, what absolute value for money their Ebikes are when compared to anything else on the market. Thanks guys, your concern and professionalism are a rarity not often found with suppliers these days and I love this Ebike!

The quality of Raleigh products have really deteriorated I think Raleigh is more about quantity then quality. I purchased 2 Raleigh 26 x 1.95 tubes last week for my bicycle. I fitted them the same evening the next morning without riding the front wheel was flat went to the store they replaced the item, today i rode the bicycle for the first time with the new tubes and did about 27km and the rear wheel was flat, it did not have a puncture but rather a small tear on the seam of the tube. Which is irreparable i tried patching it but no success. I'm really disgusted and disappointed with Raleigh as it was a brand I grew up with and I'm 33 years old now. I wont recommend Raleigh to anybody and my advice to people don't spend your money on Raleigh products, not worth it.

On Sunday 18 February 2024 my family and I visited GAME MALL OF AFRICA (Midrand, Gauteng Province, South Africa) to purchase some groceries as well as a few luxury (and expensive) items, as we have done many times before. As we walked into the store, we realized that the tyres of our adult daughter's wheelchair needed some air and needed to be inflated for her comfort. Our 20 year old daughter is mentally disabled and cannot talk or walk and still wears diapers. We remembered that GAME had a bicycle department and went there first. As we got there, two staff members were playing around with the bell on one of the bicycles. NO OTHER CUSTOMERS were present, nor buying or needed assistance. We saw the air compressor and at first tried to inflate our daughter's wheelchair tires ourselves, not wanting to take up the time of staff. Struggling a bit, we approached the two staff members, who were now playing "foosball" (the soccer game). We asked them if they could assist us, but were told by Mr. Andile Ndlovu (who actually works for Raleigh SOUTH AFRICA) that they could not help us, because "THEY DO NOT WORK ON WHEELCHAIRS ''... As the father of a disabled adult female, I could not believe my ears. An argument follwed, and seeing that I was not going to get any help from Mr. Ndlovu, I then called the Store Manager, Ms. Kholiswa Mojikelo. Explaining what happened, Ms. Mojikelo said that she would have to investigate and promised to get back to me in one (1) week. I then gave her my email address for future correspondence. Since a FULL MONTH has now gone by with NO RESPONSE from GAME nor RALEIGH SOUTH AFRICA, I can only assume that not only are the disabled not important, but service in general is non-existent at both GAME and RALEIGH SOUTH AFRICA. Not only did we spend about R 2000 on goods at GAME, but we had to buy a manual RALEIGH pump to the value of R99. We immediately inflated the tires of our disabled daughter's wheelchair, as she was quite uncomfortable. I am sure that both GAME and RALEIGH SOUTH AFRICA are happy with us spending money and pushing up their profits, ensuring continued employment, salaries and bonuses for the staff, management and executives of these two companies, who desperately need to review their service and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). I am not sure whether GAME or RALEIGH SOUTH AFRICA will respond, but we will not only stop supporting these two companies, but will tell friends, family and social media influencers about these companies' attitude towards the marginalized disabled people in South Africa...
