This site reflected a multitude of complaints against Raleigh Bicycles last year. Most strange that only 2 complaints are now showing? I purchased a new Raleigh Ranger in October 2025, and having cycled less than 60kms needed to have RUSTED BEARINGS replaced. This has been the complaint of loads of consumers previously on this platform, Communication from Raleigh is appalling, and after 3 months of nagging them I am absolutely dissatisfied with their response. I will be taking this matter further ON BEHALF OF ALL UNHAPPY CONSUMERS AGAINST RALEIGH BICYCLES . DO NOT PURCHASE A RALEIGH BICYCLE ! If there was a ZERO star that is what would be given.
I have had the most UNACCEPTABLY ********** service at this store today. This matter will be taking the legal route and therefore to summarise briefly : I have normally have printing done at a reputable store who would have charged me just over R300.00 in total for this print run. They are today unfortunately closed due to the public holiday. I asked for a TOTAL quote from the manager/ owner at Fototec and wrote down the amount of R400.00 As the printing paper was of a higher quality I was prepared to accept this - to print 15 pages for R400.00- slightly more than what we usually pay. I asked her to print 2 pages of designs so that I could check the quality. I was happy and said she could proceed. She then handed me the card machine with a total payable of R6000.00!!! R6000.00 !! I repeat - R6000.00 ! I yelled - stop the print run ! She responded - ' We can't ' - I yelled - : 'you have to - I cannot pay this ********** ******* amount ! They 'magically' stopped the machine on the 3rd print. I told her that I would pay the R400.00 ' total quoted ' - already WAY IN EXCESS OF WHAT I USUALLY PAY. She refused, and with the most appalling manner proceeded to call security - I had said that I would pay the R400.00 and furthermore provide her with my full details in order that we could resolve this legally. She humiliated me in the centre and after discussions with the security guard, who with all due respect, is not a lawyer- proceeded to tally up an invoice for black & white printing which had been done. I asked to see the breakdown on the slip before I made payment ,which she refused to do ! After insisting she did- there was an amount of R40.00 charged for ' Labour !' Upon asking her what that was for - she said that her staff member had - with a simple click of a mouse, deleted a blue line on the artwork. This charge was NOT quoted to me, and I would have left it as it was. Summary : I was ' forced ' to pay an amount of R 504.00 and left the shop with only 3 pages of black & white printing !!!!!! I supp**** my contact details as she threatened to take ' legal action.' I will now be taking this matter further - on Radio 702 with Wendy Nola Consumer Journalist as well as via the Small Claims Court. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR ANYTHING !!!!!
The most terrible nail varnish ! I forgot that I had tried Essence Nail Polish before and that it was the worst quality. I made the mistake of purchasing a bottle again - yes, the price is great - but the product is so bad ! Within a few hours the varnish was chipping badly. Will never make this mistake of buying an Essence product again .
Received great service from Zama today. She promised to call me back to assist with a payment issue which she time ously did. Thank You !
I recently gave a great review about the Ultimate Coat which I used to paint furniture with. Whilst it was a lovely product to work with I am incredibly disappointed in the durability of this paint ! It has already scratched so badly - merely in using the drawers - scratches at the slightest touch ! Unfortunately I have to change my review on this product.
I am so surprised to read all the negative reviews here - but they seem to be about other products from Fired Earth. I purchased a tester pot of Fired Earth Ultimate Coat to paint furniture. The product is absolutely superb ! Luxurious and fabulous to work with. I have painted loads of furniture using other brands and I can honestly say that this product is the absolute best ! I can highly recommend it - the finish on my table is tops !
I have dealt with this business for a few years. This past year has seen a total decline in service levels - several orders received with the incorrect items. We have just received an order of glass bottles which WERE POORLY PACKED - bottles thrown into a box without packaging protection. Obviously, several broken bottles received.The owner repeatedly blames the courier - may I add that there was not a SINGLE fragile sticker on the boxes. I have on Whats A[[ with their staff that ' This is a very big mistake on our part.' The owner does not allow you to get a word in to the conversation either. For handling this so poorly and not accepting any responsibility , we will no longer do any business with this company and will certainly spread the word !
I can highly recommend using Jhb Removals! They were extremely responsive to my enquiry and their quotation was the best received from a few removal companies. Robyn was so pro active and efficient. I had experienced a disastrous long distance move with another company a few years ago and was therefore very nervous about another long distance move. Jhb Removals safely and timeously delivered my household goods and were an absolute pleasure to deal with !
Excellent service from Nicole and team. I had booked a move on a Sunday ( which was also a public holiday ). Their driver arrived right on time and was also very friendly and efficient. An added bonus was the free transport to storage ! I can highly recommend this business.
The only reason I booked 2 rentals was because of their ' supposed loyalty programme ' with Clicks clubcard. My rentals totalled in excess of R14 000.00 and despite inserting my Club Card number when making the bookings - KRAMERVILLE branch , and showing my card when collecting the vehicles ( staff know nothing about the programme ), my card points have not been allocated Despite many calls and e mails, Europcar simply do not care !! Will not let this go - Europcar your customer care is appalling
