Overflated Rates and Taxes

What a terrible service we are getting from Randwest Municipality. Azaadville Gardens is their mine pot, we have spent years staying here and paying monthly rates and taxes without owing. suddenly everyone is owing R10 000 plus on our municipality accounts after so many years when we have been paying the accounts diligently. The only explanation from this municipality is that they have added the Sewer charges that were supposed to have been added 5-7 years ago and now they want to recoup those amounts.

This matter has been referred to the Ward 8 councilor, and he was promised by the Municipality that this issue was going to be tabled at council on the 29th of August and to date, this matter has not been refereed and still no solution to this issue.

The Finance Manager does not even want to come address the issue when we have an IDP, instead we keep on getting these reminders of amounts in arrears and its now even being worked into the electricity purchases.

There is really nothing to write home about with this municipality, it cannot even fix streets lights or even closing potholes.
