Why would you ever bother putting anything into RCI, it is no longer worth it.

I have been a member of RCI for about 25 years, and over the years, it simply gets more and more difficult to be able to get any accommodation through them. Recently I tried to get accommodation in South Africa or Souhern Africa, nothing was available until April. I then tried for overseas, nothing was available until September, which basically I had no choice to accept. Taking my timeshare levy and the RCI costs, I have now paid over R20 000.00/ $1000.00 for a time I really did not want. Really, really it makes no sense any longer to use them. Rather rent out your timeshare and use the money to pay for a holiday, where and when you want.
