Disgusted !!
I attended my friends wedding on the 19th of January 2019, our guest room was broken into and so was the honeymoon suite. The venue has done absolutely nothing about this incident and we are still waiting for some kind of answers. There is no point hiding behind your lawyers!!!!

Disgusted !!

Dishonest Staff
This venue has staff that like to ruffle and go though your personal luggage and bags during bed turn down services, with management that really does not care to react to major problem like this. If you don't value your personal property then this venue is perfect for you

Robbed on my wedding night, venue does nothing!
Please take a moment to read, it’s definitely a story worth investing in as I am sure I’m not the only one. So I’ve taken 3 years to decide whether I wanted to write about this or not. But considering I cannot stand to talk about my special day, and I haven’t watched my wedding video and I have no wedding photos up in my house, I thought, I would hate for another person to live like this because I was too scared to speak up. This is not to deliberately bash the venue, or get sympathy, but to warn brides to please just be careful. Without rambling on for days I’ll keep this short and sweet. I got married at Red Ivory in Hartebeesport in January 2019. Our honeymoon suite, a few guest rooms and our car got broken into that night and all our things were stolen. Things that cannot be replaced, like my grandmothers jewellery that I inherited. The venue has drowned us with their lawyers to keep us quiet, saying this happened due to our negligence and has since then put up many disclaimer boards around their property. Considering you pay for much for this facility, you would think the security of the guests would be the top priority. I am just grateful no children were kidnapped or worse as we had many kids playing outside during the reception, but inside the “safe” property of Red Ivory. Please just think twice before choosing this venue. I hate the fact that my special day cannot ever be “redone” and all we think about is the loss and trauma and not the happy special day it should’ve been. Please share far and wide, as a wedding should always be a treasured joyful memory. Disclaimer: I have police case numbers, affidavits and countless documents to support what I have said. And I have only spoken true facts about my experience.

WEDDING
Beautiful venue and scenery. Used this venue for our Wedding on the 14th of May 2022.Function Manager needs to work on organization skills and micro-managing employees better. Weeks leading up to our wedding the wheels came off the band wagon due to lack of communication on Red ivory's side. Reservation manager needs to work on people skills , being more friendly to guests and doing her job. Also needs to be more organised and willing to do the job she gets paid to do without making up lame excuses. Needs to work on customer relations and make a point to actually answer phones and phone customers back. Food was average , some was cold and under seasoned. Wooden deck by chapel needs maintenance ASAP as ladies with heels step in the gaps and get hurt. But overall a pleasurable experience.

Bad service!!
Bad service. Paid key deposit of R350 on the 5th of Mei for a wedding attended. phoned regarding deposit to be paid back, no calls received. Its been 3 weeks! Room alone for the night was R2500 and they cant even refund R350! ?
