I bought a Mercedes-Benz V300d with a total bank value of over 1.9Mill from Riffle Range Car Sales end of June 2025. In just over four months it had gone back to the dealership and to Mercedes four times for repairs. On the fifth time it went in for over six weeks for repairs. The car loses power completely and the engine light comes on. Whenever i contact the dealership i get million excuses and they don't even want to offer a courtesy car. The last time they booked it in i only received another small s**** courtesy car after three weeks, only after i had fought my way through. Now i'm on holiday far from home and the car is dead again, same issue, this after two weeks of getting it back from them, and as usual the dealership cannot assist by any means. Again i'll have to scream, shout and swear to get attention, with slim chances by the way. The worse frustration of my life was buying such an expensive car from Riffle Range Car Sales, i'm really exhausted right now and i have run out of words and ideas. What a terrible dealership to deal with, and every month i have to pay an exorbitant amount of money for this s****.

Do not deal with this dealership as they are *******. They owe me money for a deal that I did for them and they are refusing to pay me commissions due to me. I am a trader and I make my living by introducing clients to dealers. I have brain cancer and I am bed ridden, and the only way I can earn an income is by introducing deals to dealers. All dealers are happy to accept my business and pay me a commission. Rifle Range did a d deal with one of my clients and are refusing to pay me my commission. The owner refuses to even give out his contact details so I can’t even ask for my commission which is due to me. They pay very low prices for people’s trade ins and refuse to pay commissions. They are ******* and ******s and should be closed down. Do not deal with Rifle Range cars sales. They have 3 branches in the south of Johannesburg. Stay away from Rifle Range cars sales. They are *******.

The most shocking service from the classic "used car sales" stereotype. As a buyer they can't do enough, but once the money has been paid the chameleon changes colour. They did a con job on the road worthy and many other doggy practices rendering g the car un-roadworthy and dangerous to drive. I had a massive blow out 3 hours after taking delivery of the car to discover that not a single tyre was safe. All tyres were incorrect size and or damaged.

The dealership is a **** and a bunch of *******. Misrepresenting vehicles they sell. Basically will sell you s**** metal and represent it as good condition. Bought a car from them and within 3 days the vehicle had ceased. They don’t even attend to complaints. The dealership will ***** from you then keep quite without bothering to assist individuals. This dealership they work on *****ing from clients. They are just pure ******* end of story. They are definitely not the place to go to if looking for a second hand vehicle. They will sell You s**** metal.

On 21 November 2024, I signed a finance agreement for a 2014 Golf MK7 R through Absa Vehicle Finance with Riffle Range Car Sales. However, I was only allowed to collect the car on 29 November 2024 as the dealership claimed they needed to “resolve outstanding issues.” From the first week of driving, it became clear these issues were never resolved. The car has had serious mechanical faults, including: Rattling sounds & dashboard error messages after collection. Engine warning light activation after a trip to KZN (vehicle was then held in their workshop for over a month). Blue smoke from the engine, raising concerns about engine damage. Multiple breakdowns despite repeated “repair attempts.” When I requested a professional diagnostic at Volkswagen, the dealership refused to cover the cost and insisted on using cheaper alternative service providers — which is unacceptable for a vehicle in this condition. I no longer wish to keep this vehicle. I have lodged a complaint with Absa Vehicle Finance (Ref: C-52460122) and await their investigation. I demand: A clear process for returning the vehicle & cancelling the sale. Confirmation on whether a replacement vehicle or full refund will be provided. A timeline for resolution. This has caused ongoing frustration, inconvenience, and financial strain. I expect urgent and transparent action from Riffle Range.

<div>Please do not buy a vehicle at Riffle Range pre owned. I bought a Ford Kuga 2012 model, was advised that there was a service done. After leaving the dealership , not even 5 mins later, the car starts smoking and overheating. I took the car back the same day and they replaced the thermostat, next day I had to take it back again, they fixed the radiator. I didnt drive the car till 3 days later and then the engine light comes on and the transmition notification. I advised them that i cant use the vehicle and want a refund , as its only 10 days after the purchase and only drove the car twice, after collecting it. I was advised my Tanya that all cost will be my responsibly and they don't do refunds. I don't understand why they don't do refunds, if you so sure of your product, then why not take it back. I'm now busy with the ombudsman ...do not purchase a car from them...you will have endless problems there after with the car...and not even get the pleasure of having a car you just purchased.</div>

<div>Dealing with Rifle Range cars has been a huge dissapointment. They switched the tyres on the car that they sold me to try and get the vehicle through a roadworthy and 3 of the tyres failed. One delaminated and I nearly rolled the car on its roof. I complained to IDA and they write a reply which is a complete pack of lies. I have tried on 3 occasions to interact with the company directors but Tanya and Shane, the salesmen will not refer my complaint. This is after Shane gave me the goahead to replace the tyres at their cost. I will be taking this further with the Ombud, ABSA the financier and with the Roadworthy department.</div>

I bought a car from them in August 2024, I drove it until November. The engine of my car ceased after they had assured me that they serviced the car prior to me taking it off the floor. I haven't seen it since November the 30th of 2024. They've been looking for an engine replacement to this day. To make matters worse I had to approach the ombudsman just to get a courtesy car out of them. Which I only received nearly three months later. They then gave me a car that wasn't road worthy. No brake pads, the wheels needed alignment and balancing. I'm not holding my breath on getting my money back when or if I have to return the vehicle. At this rate I might as well be driving the courtesy car which costs a whole lot less than my Ford fiesta ST might I add. I'm paying for a car I don't have. Their salesman are great, but their leadership and service are horrific. To top it off Wesbank doesn't want to lose a deal so they've also incorporated stalling tactics to aid them.Go elsewhere. Run.
