I had the most horrifying experience with Rindi Estates agents. I would not recommend their services to anyone. I went for a viewing at one of their properties with my sister ( Whom I reside with), subsequent to the viewing I was provided with an application form. The agent Leonie told me which sections to sign and leave out and I did as instructed, the entire section where the details of the occupants are listed was not completed as per the instruction of the agent. They later requested that I completed other details such as the details of my earlier tenant which I did. ( The point here is why didn't they ask for this information too at this stage at least) My application was approved a few days later. I was then told that I was not going to be provided with a lease agreement before the full deposit and rental was paid ( Contrary to the RHA) and as such I waited until I could make payment. Upon making payment I sent the proof of payment and I was told by Rindi that payment had to first reflect before I could have privy of the contents of the lease. They were unresponsive and whenever Rindi rep**** it was in a rude and condescending manner. I then went to their offices to request the lease, I was returned and told it was going to be sent in the afternoon, this being 2 days before I had to move into the property. I finally received the lease and read through it before I could sign, to my dismay they had excluded water contrary to what I was informed and included a clause that entailed that I would be the only occupant of the property subject to the approval of the owner. I then told them that I was going to live with my sister and accordingly requested the they amend the clause. They turned everything against me in an attempt to look good to the owner and put me in a corner to pay additional costs. They insisted that I was not upfront. How was I not upfront when I went to the viewing with her, I even brought up this discussion., if I was hiding this fact why did I BRING IT UP BEFORE SIGNING THE LEASE. They then told me to pay an additional amount of R500 monthly if I wanted to live with my sister, which I agreed to because I did not have time to look for alternative accommodation in a day. Despite this, they called me again to request that I paid an additional R1000 before they could give me the lease for my perusal and signature. I had been subjected to so much distress at that point and ultimately told them to cancel and refund me the total amount I had paid. They then told me that they would be keeping R750 from my money. Rindi only paid back my money at night after I asked my boss to intervene even though she knew I had to use that money to find and pay for a new place or face homelessness. Rindi does not have respect for her clients, she is rude and only wants your money not to assist you. Stay away.

The worst rental agency in history. If you thinking of renting through them please reconsider. They are clearly low on cash and the only way to make money is to rip people off. They do not refund deposits in fact they will make up a crazy repair invoice and quote you way more so they can steal more of your money. Do not use them they are scammers and very rude.

Future tenants please be careful, Rindi and her real estate company are un-professional, border lining on criminal. I have to now build a case against for many reasons which include, fraud, malpractice, harassment, threats etc. If you have a story to share perhaps we can get justice, kindly email me on: intouch.with.cornel@gmail.com. What her and her team are doing is not right, she needs to atone for her behaviour and answer to the law.

I rented apartment 108B LABORIE in Johannesburg up until the end of January 2017. It is May 3017 and I am still waiting for my deposit refunded.

The staff is so incompetent they simply ignore calls and emails. You go to their website to find the owner for escalation purposes, she is no where listed.

This company needs to be de-registered and closed with immediate effect. It is scam and it has all elements against the Consumer Protection Act in South Africa. SARS also needs to get involved...

I am about to take a legal action and expose these crooks...
