Do not appoint Rise Property Solutions to manage your sectional title complex
Hellopeter needs to add a ZERO star option so we can award it to ************ *****ed companies like Rise Property Solutions. They have just been appointed as managing agents at The Blyde in Pretoria East, they're flying in at a speed of 340 km/h chasing after imposing ******* penalties on owners for literally anything. They are "handing over" body corporate levy accounts internally to themselves, and they feel no shame for their blatant ******** conduct. I made a payment of R700 into my levy account yesterday, today they me a statement showing an entry of R80.00 levied as a collection penalty on my R700 which I have paid into the BC bank account, not a debt collecting bank account. I'm an attorney and I am not going to let them get away with their crime. For all people who read this review - MAKE SURE TO NEVER APPOINT THESE ****** as your sectional title scheme managing agents, you are going to create a lot of unnecessary problems for your complex. As an owner in a complex managed by these Rise Property Solutions fly by night ********s start going through your account statements with a fine toothed comb, you will see all the ******* charges they add to your account.

We take levy administration and debt collection seriously, as these processes are essential to protect the financial stability of the body corporate and ensure fairness to all owners who pay on time. After reviewing your account, our records show that the account was in arrears and that a notice was sent to you on 9 February advising of the outstanding balance. This communication also explained the consequences of non-payment, including the costs that may be incurred should the account be handed over for internal debt collection. Our system reflects that this communication was delivered and opened.
A partial payment was made thereafter, which did not settle the full outstanding amount at the time. The remaining balance was only paid on 16 February, after the internal debt collection process had already commenced and the relevant notification had been issued.
As a registered debt collection practice, any applicable collection fees are charged in accordance with the tariffs prescribed by the Debt Collectors Council and are not applied arbitrarily.
We regret that this experience has been frustrating. Our intention is not to penalise owners unnecessarily, but to apply the scheme’s financial policies consistently to all accounts in order to protect the body corporate and its members.
