What a disappointing experience!!! We booked our Christmas lunch at this venue some time ago, and paid more than R10 000 for 7 people. The establishment cancelled the lunch three days before Christmas due to " unforeseen circumstances" and promised a refund. Three days later and I'm still waiting, after my repeated request (phone calls and email). Very unprofessional and I'm now wondering how many people have fallen victim to this?

We had a contract with RMM as a service provider. They stopped paying our invoices at some point. Ignored meeting requests and they ended up ghosting us completely. Very bad business conduct and I am warning any service providers to be careful in doing business with them. From one small business to another.

Such a nice location. Pity the service and overall facilities are shoddy. Breakfast not ready at 0630 (only 07h00!), no serviettes, internet doesnt work. Not worth the price or effort. Give this facility a miss.

I wish I would have checked review before, I had high hopes for a lovely breakfast when I booked a table at this venue a week in advance. However, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon arriving, I was informed that there was no record of our reservation, despite having confirmed it on their website. The incompetence displayed was astounding. What was even more distressing was the abysmal attitude of the manager and staff. They were not only dismissive of our booking mishap but also incredibly rude and, shockingly,l. Such behavior is absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable in any establishment. This ordeal completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant morning, and I can't stress enough how disappointing and frustrating this experience was. I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to think twice, as they clearly don't value their customers or the reservations they make.

I wish I would have checked review before, I had high hopes for a lovely breakfast when I booked a table at this venue a week in advance. However, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon arriving, I was informed that there was no record of our reservation, despite having confirmed it on their website. The incompetence displayed was astounding. What was even more distressing was the abysmal attitude of the manager and staff. They were not only dismissive of our booking mishap but also incredibly rude and, shockingly,l. The management at River meadow Manor has been playing mind games on fixing the damages on my car as I was halfway into the property the security guard closed the gate and it scratched my rear door then Nico the manager said they will pay for the damages as he has been asking me to send quotations in which when I call the number doesn't go through and when I call the reception it's either he is in a meeting the whole day from 8am till late or he is off.Till today they don't want to fix the damage on my car

Worst management If they fail to pay their stuff on time how do you as a client guarantee that you are safe with them, i would not advice anyone to book with them as they can not be trusted, previous owners were the best, but the current one knows nothing about business nor taking care of their employees.

After lockdown I phoned River Meadow Manor and spoke to the director Siyanda, he promised me that will receive a NEW date for our function (we already paid R10000). 3 weeks passed, we then requested a refund as we are getting no service from them. Another 2 weeks passed and still no response or an indication of when the money will be paid back. STAY AWAY FROM!!!!!!!

Extremely dissatisfied We had planned to have our WEDDING at this venue in June. Unfortunately, due to the Corona outbreak we needed to cancel the occasion, which in itself is highly disappointing. Sadly, the drama has continued since. We cancelled the function in writing to River Meadow Manor prior to the set date. Both myself and my fiancé are in separate businesses which are highly service orientated, and one of the reasons we generally book corporate and various other occasions with venues such as this, is peace of mind. Sadly, after two months of going back and forth, we have anything but that. Eventually a call from the owner today, in which he explains he has found all other bookings affected by Covid have satisfactorily been handled with a postponement, and that he will offer us the same with no additional fees.. I expressed my confusion regarding how in a time like this, with something no one could have foreseen, he could even consider charging us for a postponement!!! Thereafter much of his conversation centred around it being the industry norm, and that “at this point in his career it’s actually embarrassing for him to be discussing R10 000, as that's not a lot of money to him”... When I eventually raised my voice out of pure frustration saying, "then just refund us". I was told I'm threatening and bullying him to get my way. (This being over two months down the line). Furthermore I felt insulted by being told "I am selfish, only thinking of myself in all of this". I was finally told "he does not have to have this conversation with me, and he would find someone to call me before the end of the day”. Needless to say, the promise has again been broken, and no one could be bothered to call us. The fact that he so nonchalantly expects us to enjoy the venue now, is a clear indication of how oblivious he is to our disappointment.. All we've asked on a number of occasions is for them to refund us the deposit which we paid in good faith, to a venue we believed we could trust. We would certainly urge any future patrons considering this venue to very strongly reconsider doing business with River Meadow Manor to avoid potential disappointment. Possibly, the consequence may be more in the owners "financial bracket".
