Stay Away

We arrived to enjoy our romantic weekend away package. Imagine our surprise when we placed behind the burned down restaurant where we were supposed to enjoy our included meals. We departed as we were not prepared to stay. What a dump. Then our struggle started in trying to get our money back. See the email we received. Disgusting!!!<br> <br> After due consideration, in the spirit of goodwill and as a conciliatory gesture, we wish to refund you 25% of the deposit paid. <br> We sincerely regret any inconvenience endured by any guests at anytime and the unfortunate catastrophe, which is considered a force majeure event and as such, River Place is not liable for any loss or cancellation. We have, however made an exception in your case.....Your one night stay in one of our stunning Suites was totally unaffected by the fire. Our alternate dining arrangements and all other usual facilities offered were still available.<br> We do not knowingly or intentionally misrepresent River Place and should that have been the case I personally apologise for any unintended misrepresentation.
