Poor communication with Clients. Lack of accountability. They provide good results, even though they never stick to the promised job completion schedules.

My experience with Ross Champion Mount Edgecombe has been absolutely shocking. My vehicle was dropped off for accident repairs on 9 February 2026. Initially there were delays because of a parts shortage linked to GWM South Africa, which I understood and accepted. However, the real issue was the constant misleading updates, poor workmanship, and terrible customer service from Ross Champion. Throughout the process we received WhatsApp updates from the workshop. On 2 March we were told that the parts had arrived and the vehicle was being repaired. I specifically asked if the tailgate lock and driver-side fender had been repaired, and was told that all other repairs were completed and they were only working on the bumper. We then received multiple updates saying the vehicle had moved to paint, assembling, wash, and finally QUALITY CHECK. In fact, according to their own WhatsApp updates, the vehicle sat in “quality check” for several days. So naturally we assumed everything had been properly completed and inspected. I was then told the vehicle was ready for collection, had passed quality control, and was washed and prepared. When I arrived to collect my vehicle on 9 March, after waiting weeks, I was absolutely disgusted. The vehicle was NOT properly repaired at all: • The tailgate lock was never repaired and does not lock • The rear driver-side arches/fender were not properly repaired • The new bull bar is loose • The dent repair looks was not even polished properly • The vehicle was filthy inside and out, despite being told it had been washed • The only thing that appears to have been done is the bumper So the obvious question is: how does a vehicle sit in “quality check” for days and still get passed when basic repairs were not even completed? It honestly feels like “quality check” is just something they tell customers to buy time while the vehicle sits there unfinished. To make matters worse, we had already returned our courtesy vehicle because Ross Champion confirmed the car was ready for collection. We were essentially forced to take an unfinished vehicle because we had no other transport. Despite this, we still had to pay the R5000 excess before leaving with a vehicle that clearly never went through any proper quality inspection. The attitude from staff was equally disappointing. When asked why the repairs were incomplete, no one could give a proper explanation. Ross Champion is affiliated with major insurance companies, yet this is the level of service and workmanship they provide. The entire experience has been misleading, stressful, and completely unacceptable. Weeks of waiting, false updates, unfinished repairs, and a so-called “quality check” that clearly means nothing. I would strongly caution anyone considering Ross Champion to think twice before trusting them with their vehicle.

Exceptional Service at Ross Champion Durban Central! After using AI to compare several insurance-approved repairers based on 2025 industry standing and customer reputation, Ross Champion (Point Branch) was the top recommendation. My personal experience confirmed exactly why they are considered the "gold standard." Reputation: Established in 1939, they are considered the "gold standard" in Durban for insurance-approved repairs. They are well-known for their high-tech facilities and long-standing history. Service: Customers consistently report excellent communication, often receiving a dedicated contact person for regular updates. Best For: Newer or high-end vehicles where a "like-new" finish is required and a seamless insurance process is a priority. Recommendation: Their administrative departments handle claims smoothly, and their factory approvals help protect the vehicle’s resale value. My Personal Experience: The service was exceptional! Everyone, from the security team to the front desk staff, was welcoming and prompt. Joshua Naidoo was particularly brilliant; I never had to query the progress because he provided detailed updates and "in-action" photos of the repair throughout the process. His professionalism, reliability, and "can-do" attitude are truly impressive. If you want your car back in "brand new" condition with a seamless insurance process, this is the place to go. Thank you to the entire team Ross Champion!

Wesley workshop Manager from Ross Champion was an absolute star. I had an accident a month ago and took my car in for repairs. Wesley assured me that I would have my car within 3 days and he kept his word. He called me and kept me in the loop about the repairs and the job he did was amazing. 3 weeks after the repairs were done I was reversing my husbands vehicle out of the yard and the swinging electronic gate smashed into my front left fender. I panicked and reversed the car directly onto the wall smashing the back light. I frantically call Wesley and he was at my gate in 20 minutes. He took pictures submitted the claim and the car was as good a new by the next week. Wesley you are amazing and Ross Champion is very lucky to have you as a manager. You are a treasure and I will definitely recommend Ross Champion Pinetown as long as you are their Manager.

My car was repaired by them in July. Although a good job, the tint was damaged by them and door handle ***** cover loose.we reported this to them, took the car back to them to check and still awaiting feedback. Last call to them on Friday and was promised a call back by yesterday. Still nothing. Disappointing service

Unprofessional and very unpleasant experience at Ross Champion Mt Edgecombe. If you're looking for honest professional panel beaters, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY ROSS CHAMPION AGENT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY ROSS CHAMPION AGENT. I wrote a review of my experience with Ross Champion on the 2nd of April 2025, after my review went up on the site Ross Champion claimed not to have any records of my details on their database after attempting to contact me. This says a lot about the pool of unhappy customers Ross Champions' has, which left me asking myself why insurers insist on the taking our vehicles to these guys? Strange! It's time for the insurers to come clean, why are you taking our vehicles to sub-par panel beaters? I will write my review again and again on Ross Champion as many times as I have to on any platform I feel will spread awareness whilst simultaneously sharing my unfortunate experience. In December 2024 I took my car to Ross Champion Mt Edgecombe, this was the closest panel beater to where I'm located, the car was returned back with poor workmanship, obvious and unacceptable 'errors' which led me to requesting for this to be corrected. Upon enquiring, Ross Champion then said that parts they removed from my car where no longer available from the agents and there was nothing they could do, my question to them was 'why did you remove parts without confirming with the insurer or myself? Why remove parts from my car and not inform me that you aren't able to source the parts, it's only when I raised this then you informed me that you were not able to source parts you had removed!' Had I not said anything, Ross Champion expected me accept sub-par service? Probably, that's what dishonest ****my panel beaters do. I recently took my car for a valuation at VW uMhlanga, the assessor confirmed an estimated 17% shortfall off the current value my car holds due to the poor workmanship. Effectively this means my car has lost R37,000 market value due to poor workmanship. It's now been six months back and forth with Ross Champion / Nedbank Insurance and I'm still in the same position I was six months ago. To all the people that visit Hellopeter after your car has been to Ross Champion askies and to those that have been referred there but have not taken their vehicles there, don't say you weren't warned!
