I have been living in a complex for 17 years. It was managed by Communicare, who were not perfect, but I could always get a hold of the property manager for permissions, when ordering a large appliance. Now with RPF Africa managing the property, it is impossible to get a hold of any relevant person. Dominique is our property manager, she instructed me to send her a whatsapp with my details and delivery details on Monday 13th April 2026 which I did and have proof of. The washing machine is being delivered today, 15th April 2026 so I went to the security office this morning to confirm all is in order and NO. They had nothing. I tried calling her, I tried calling the office to no avail. Now what?

RFP complaint. The worst experience I have had to deal with as a human being. RFP took over from Communicare last year and everything has been hell for me, I was in the process of renewing my lease with Communicare as my partner and I needed a bigger apartment since we were expecting a child. Everything was going smoothly, Communicare was in the final stages of finalising my lease renewal, RFP took over and all my problems started. A very ****** white woman by the name of Helga Seager was handling the complex I was living in. Here is a breakdown of my first experience with this ******: NB - this is the email I sent to her manager I met up with Helga for a viewing, well it was supposed to be a viewing. What an unpleasant meeting, Helga was so rude and dismissive towards me. She has no respect for people, I can’t believe she is the agent who will be assisting us here as tenants, I feel sorry for the other tenants who will deal with her, personally I would prefer not to ever deal with such a rude person. I have been in the process of renewing my lease and I requested a renewal for a two bedroom apartment and today I was under the impression that I was going to view it. The very rude and condescending Helga told me “I can't move as she is not moving tenants around, they should stay where they are currently are and only new tenants are being allowed to move into apartments.” I asked for a reason why? She rep**** “because I just said so” and I tell her she can’t just speak to me like that I am a tenant and I need a bigger apartment she says “ Oh well we run this place now and that’s how we will be operating and it will be too expensive to move people around”. How can you treat a tenant like this? She is literally telling me “STAY WHERE YOU ARE, OR MOVE OUT!!” This attitude towards a tenant? Disgusting. I work with people and I never treat them like this, because I am human - I understand the importance of kindness and good customer service/relations. It is very strange that all of a sudden old tenants are being treated like dirt as I was today, while new tenants are being made a priority. I would really appreciate it if I could get assisted with this matter ASAP, I have being cooperative with you guys for so long but this can't of treatment is really unacceptable and unfair. They said my account was in arrears, asked for which month, they told and I provided them with proof of payments they came back with a different month, I provide proof of payment for that month as well and it goes on and on to another month. One day a Linsey sends an email to Helga explaining that “actually the customer’s account is up to date”. Fine we move on, next month again we are back to the same thing “your account is arrears for this month and that month. I got so fed up and decided it is time I stop putting up with this treatment, I put in a request to move out, all goes well and that ****** Helga comes to inspect the place and says “all is good you just need to clean the place and wash the walls and paint” mind you the walls didn’t need any paint as they were just fine , but we did. That ******, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional Helga comes in and says the walls are damaged after we painted! How ridiculous. She then sends me an inspection report with a whole list of false claims of the apartment because now it is time to pay up my deposit. I sent her pictures of the damages I found in the apartment when I moved in with time stamps but she doesn’t want to return my deposit, she wants me to sign a false inspection report that suits her agenda to not pay me my deposit. Worst experience ever, RFP is definitely not ran properly. There is zero accountability and that is why that ****** Helga can treat tenants like this, Penny their manager clearly is managing them properly because even when I sent her an email, she never replies. Really terrible service and I will go through all means to make sure that I get my deposit back to me in full. Very unhappy customer!!!

If it were possible, I would assign a zero rating. The company demonstrates poor communication and has failed to refund my deposit. Charges have been levied against for extremely high “wear and tear” costs that should reasonably fall under standard maintenance. In addition, their agents have issued inflated quotations and attempted to justify these charges. I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience.
