I am writing to report a complete lack of service and endless misinformation regarding a power outage affecting three buildings on the property at Waterglen. The problem started on September 29th. While most of our area and even the rest of our property had their power restored, three specific buildings did not. Since then, I have spent nearly R100 on airtime calling the municipality, only to be given the runaround. Every time I call, I am told a team will come to us "after they finish where they are." This has never happened. To make matters worse, I have been given specific, false locations for these teams: I was told twice they were working on the R24 road. Both times, I drove along the R24 and its offramps and saw no one. At 5 PM on September 30th, I was told they were at Excaliber on the R24. I drove there immediately—no one was there.
When I called again at 7 PM, they claimed the team was suddenly at a completely different location. This is beyond frustrating. It is now 7 PM on September 30th, and we are still in the dark. This is not just about the electricity; it's about the complete disregard for your customers, the wasted money on airtime, and the blatant misinformation. We need a competent team sent to our address IMMEDIATELY to fix this. No more empty promises. No more false locations. Just action. I have lost my job over a year ago, due to the electricity problems on the R24 road. They don't even deserve a star.
