Inaccurate Billing on my account
Rustenburg Local Municipality is very ********* !!! It turns out that my November Statement had inaccurate water meter readings, that resulted in my municipal bill going up. When I went to enquire about it at the Municipality, I was told that the person who was taking meter readings wrote estimated readings because my gate was locked. But I reside in an Estate and the meter is outside the yard, outside the boundary wall to be precise. The lady who was helping me said she will escalate the matter to her superior and I should wait for an email for about 4 days, if I do not get an email I must come back. I went back after a week and found a different person at the help desk. She said I must wait maybe they will update my statement. Even today there is no Help. Are we supposed to be ****** daylight like that in South Africa? No one is willing to help at all in that place…they do as they please with our readings and get us into debts just like that

Incompetence RLM
Im a resident of Rustenburg Rhenosterfontein and yet agen im writing a review on the local Rustenburg Municipality in utterly discuss with the RLM for treatment on a power out at 22:22 at night with the respond of a report tot was posted on the 20/01/2026 its the 22/01/2026 yet agen the same relating message is been posted as a answer to the power out slightly chande message but it comes dow to the same at this time of night with a power out it only means the we as residents are most likely to be without power til the next day or even 2 day on end as the incompetence of the RLM can simply fix powerlines in the aria nor can thy supply us with a permanent solution to the problem in ouer aria

Good evening im a resident of Rustenburg Rhenosterfontein for the past 2 years that im staying in Rustenburg Rhenosterfontein it been a non-stop problem with the RLM and the power out that the RLM just turn off the power or simply just dont reply to a power out resolving in days on end without power thers also no maintenance done dearing the day at nigt time thy want to do maintenance on fulty lines or transformers resolting in leaving the power out to the day shift cuse thy can not see at night to us as residents thy simply say that we have to be patient and sorry for the inconvenience if there is weather or not this is there responds

Utterly disappointed in the service of the Rustenburg Municipality for not delivering the service of power and the RLM not responding to assist us on the mater of power out s in the Rhenosterfontein and surrounding areas all thy have to say for themselves is on the mater of the problem is that the team is on site or the technical team is awaiting for the testing masjien to do an assignment but just nothing is happening every day since this week Tuesday the power has been out for several hours resolving in lost of electrical appliance and food dew to the powerout where it ends up being days on end without power and yet the problem persists and do not get resolved its a constant problem and the RLM do not give notice to this problem at all thy are constantly onlie on the WhatsApp and do not read or respond to problems with in the community thy seem to just brush it off and sweep it under a rug as not inportant

Urgent Complaint: ******* Hawkers and Road Obstruction Along Mangope Highway
SUBJECT: Urgent Complaint: ******* Hawkers and Road Obstruction Along Mangope Highway Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to lodge a formal and serious complaint regarding the ******* hawkers who have taken over the Mangope Highway, from the Sasol garage speed humps area up to the Meat Way T-junction. This stretch falls under the North West Province, and the situation has now become extremely dangerous and unacceptable. These hawkers are blocking parts of the roadway and driveways, refusing to move when vehicles approach. Drivers are now forced to manoeuvre dangerously to avoid hitting them or their stalls, which has greatly increased the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. In some cases, hawkers even run across the road to sell goods to moving vehicles, endangering both themselves and motorists. The problem is escalating as they have now expanded on both sides of the road, and there is severe littering throughout the area. They have also started building ******* structures and makeshift stalls on the roadside, which not only blocks visibility but also creates potential hiding spots for ********s and drug users. According to the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996, Section 72(1) and 72(5): No person shall wilfully or negligently place or leave any object or perform any act on a public road which is likely to endanger or obstruct traffic. Furthermore, in terms of Municipal By-Laws and the Roads Ordinance Act 22 of 1957, it is ******* to conduct trading or erect any structure along a public road or road reserve without authorization from the local municipality or roads department. This situation is now a serious violation of traffic and municipal laws, posing a major safety risk, environmental hazard, and public nuisance to all motorists and residents who use the Mangope Highway daily. We urgently request that the North West Traffic Department, and the Municipal Law Enforcement Division: 1.Remove all ******* hawkers and roadside structures along the Mangope Highway. 2.Enforce the Road Traffic Act and municipal by-laws to prevent further obstruction. 3.Deploy regular patrols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and free vehicle movement. This situation has gone beyond tolerance and requires immediate intervention from the relevant authorities before it leads to serious accidents or further lawlessness. Unacceptable treatment from the Rustenburg Municipality
Yet agen on a week ago on a Friday and we are sitting without power yet agen we are residents of the Rhenosterfontein on the outside of Rustenburg week after week we are facing a problem with the RLM and power where they cannot give us an answer to way the power is out they don't even want to respond to anything not a telephone call or WhatsApp text there finding is only to give you a number thats that and nothing else in this line its unfair unacceptable as a resident to not have power in this result we get left for days on end without power and cable and mini subs to be ( damaged ) as thy report its just a covering statement for them to sit and relax on shifts not to do maintenance and up ceeps resolting in powerlines to be ****** and caps in min subs to be taken out we as Rustenburg resident are being over charge on our power rates cus thy dont have any blueprint to what powerline goes where and wger it feeds from due to subcontractors lost and ****** powerlines as a resident this is unacceptable that we have to endure in this way off being treated from the Rustenburg Municipality
