Deposit not refunded after multiple requests
I booked Rusticana for an event and paid a R5 000 deposit. I cancelled the event five months in advance. The venue deducted R1 500 as an ‘admin fee’ but has not refunded the remaining R3 500. I have contacted the owner multiple times and even sent a letter of demand through a lawyer, but I have still received nothing. I share this review to let others be aware of the risks when paying a deposit.

Absolutely beautiful place and amazing people. We are going to getting married there and they have bee so accommodating in every way. If you're looking for an amazing place to get married, have your reception and stay this is the place.

Worst Wedding Venue!
Such disgusting behaviour from this company! Do not believe that they will return your deposit of R8000, as they inform you only afterwards that the terms in the contract changes. Also, they have no back up plan with regards to load shedding, even if you ask about it, they show you a generator, however the thing doesnt work. I had a wedding with almost 3 hours of no power at night. Guests were served cold food and speeches, cutting of the cake, garter and bouquet throw was all done in darkness then they had the nerve to refund only half of the deposit!!!!!
