Ryobi tools are useless and after sale service is extremely poor - sucks

I would not recommend anyone to buy their product. Their after sale service is very poor, I wish I had read all the reviews prior to purchasing their product, if I had read I would have made a different choice seeing that most of their reviews are poor.

Builders is also damaging their own brand by selling Ryobi brand.

I purchased a lawn mower /trimmer for my brother from Builders Klerksdorp I think in 2023 if I not mistaken and the machine is still within warranty. Around Dec 2025 the machine ceased to work and my brother took the machine back to builders for repair and guess what the feedback from the supplier was that the machine was not well maintained nor serviced , my question to them was to they have a clear policy where it states after how many months is a client required to service? Machine original price was R2500 and now upon assessment they want us to pay R2300 , isn't this madness? It's the same as buying new machine. All electrical applies are usually clearly stated " do not temper" so now do they want their customer's to temper with the machine? I am very disappointed and builders is doing nothing to help, I believe they should also be fighting for their customers or rather stop selling this brand. If this is how the retailer and the supplier treats their customers then I do not see a reason why they have a warranty for their clients seeing that almost everyone is complaining about same thing.

I am going to refer this to ombudsman , this people take their customers for granted.
