About 2 months ago I took my vehicle to Sa Canopy in East London to have new hinges, rubbers and swing arm fitted. This was done without issue. One month later/one month ago, I needed to take the Canopy off as we where moving houses and I needed to load items such as my fridge. The canopy would not come off. I then noticed that they had glued the canopy to the vehicle. I then asked my fiancee to take the vehicle in for me so that they could loosen the canopy, which they did. However, by the time she got home with the vehicle, the rubbers where hanging off the sides and had not been glued to the canopy, and the back right side bracket was completely loose. I then took the canopy off and noticed that the front seal that they re did for me, was also completely skew, and was glued on into the actual load body and not onto the "lip" as it should be done. I now took it back to Sa Canopy this morning to see if they could fix the things that where not done properly in the first place. I was met by an extremely arrogant guy by the name of Anthoney. I explained the issue to him and showed him the problems, but was then told that they would not fix it because as soon as the canopy is removed, the warranty is lost. I explained to him that neither I or my fiance were informed of a warranty, or loss of warranty, and that all I needed was for them to fix what I paid for in the beginning. He then started treating me like I was stupid, saying things like,"its really not difficult to understand", and " how do you not understand this" to which I responded that he must not talk to me like an idiot and that I am more educated than he might think. I asked him again to please fix the things that where not done correctly the first time. He responded that this is a business and he would not do it for free as I have lost my warranty. I then got really upset and said to him that it wasn't .......ing done properly the first time!! He said that the glue had rubbed off because we had traveled with the canopy loose because my fiancee had told him not too tighten it, thats absolute rubbish, and even if that was the case, why on earth would you release a vehicle from your service, that wasn't fit to travel. A loose canopy is a major hazard on the road, and this Anthony blamed it on that. Well if that is the case, you should have never allowed a vehicle to leave with a canopy that hasn't been properly secured. This falls completely inline with the rest of the poor workmanship that is provided at SA Canopy!!
