COVID cancellation policy
Be very carefull when booking. They have a COVID policy however it means nothing. Our holiday got impacted due to COVID and we didnt want to travel, futhermore a family member that would be staying with us at the accommodation tested positive for COVID and obviously now cannot leave home as protocol dictates self isolation. We tried to cancel and it was back and forth until they gave us the final feedback that the booking was not in the relatives name that was COVID positive and therefore the policy does not apply and further said he could have travelled with COVID. Further to that they are not willing to adhere to their own cancellation policy over and above COVID and we basically left with nothing. The nail in the coffin... they confirmed in writing that the place we booked and could not go to any longer for obvious reasons has been booked again and will be occupied for our original dates. Not cool at all.

25 Jan 2021, 11:16Thanks for your review. Penalties for cancellations are at the establishments discretion and i believe they offered a partial refund as well as a postponement of up to a year. You have the option to use the accommodation at a later stage or get a partial refund. We are still awaiting your feedback.

Thanks for your review. Penalties for cancellations are at the establishments discretion and i believe they offered a partial refund as well as a postponement of up to a year. You have the option to use the accommodation at a later stage or get a partial refund. We are still awaiting your feedback.

26 Jan 2021, 09:17We were offered R600 of our R3000, Please take not the deposit was R1500 and not R3000. That is besides the point, your policy states that COVID related matters (positive test) would deem a full refund? Now that story is out the window. This is just technicalities and scripted responses to front the image of SA Venues. What a shame that that is the best you can come up with. We were asked to directly deal with the venue, we booked with your establishment, paid you the funds we deal with you and not with the venue.
