I am very disappointed about Mangwas service, do not make a booking under this lodge if you are not sure or might have a family emergency that causes for you to have to cancel the trip. I made a booking through SA Venues to stay AT Mangwa with my friends, in October 2022 to Sta there in December 2022. Before the end of Ctober 2022 I had a family emergency that caused for us to have to cancel the trip which meant I would be able to get the full refund. I cancelled through SA venues and called to confirm and ask how the process would work and they said they would notify me as soon as Mangwa pays them as they only refund once they have refunded them. I have been emailing and calling Mangwa speaking to Proxy and Nasheta from SA Venues and expressed my disappointment in how long its taken to get my refund. They both expressed that they had company processes to follow. SA venues have not given me any updates even though this agreement was made though them and I paid them directly. I called Mangwa today and was told that Proxy the manager is off and nobody else can help me with my refund, I then asked for the finance persons number and apparently nobody has it. I spent R4200 on a deposit and need these funds urgently but nobody is willing to help. It's very sad as we try and support the small businesses but customer service is horrific I had been to Mangwa before a few years back and got good service, I have no idea what's happening now and am very disappointed in both SA Venues and Mangwa

Price advertised and when booking is confirmed on website is lower than amount invoiced. When querying this they simply forward the terms and conditions which seems to allow them to do exactly that...

I requested a quote from them (First time to use them) received the quote for the accommodation, paid the deposit and then I am told that the quote was wrong and I have to pay the higher amount or be refunded. I took the refund, but will never use them again. BYE BYE SA VENUES

First time using SA Venues and experienced the worst. I booked accomodation in Durban through this company. I paid the requested deposit and I was happy. 3 days after that I received an email stating that accomodation was already booked so I cant stay there. They offered to find other places but only provided places twice the price of the place I booked. I requested a refund to look for my own place. They told me it was captured. After 48hrs no refund I do a follow up and Tania responds with an I dont care attitude. Why must I suffer for the problem from your side. I need the money to book an alternative before its too late. For now, I will give you guys a 0 rating for the inconvenience and lack of emphathy.

Our guest house made contact with them in MAY 2021 and sent them all the updates regarding description and photos. I received an acknowledgement and a message saying as soon as the design team is ready, they will contact us. How is it insanely possible to take so long to update our website and no replies to several of my emails asking for feedback. In my opinion, this does not set a good impression for future business between ourselves. If someone from this company is reading this, please have the courtesy to make contact with Stellenhof Guest House. Thank you

Our guest house wanted to join and paid the fees. We were asked to provide photos, which was done. It was acknowledged and we were told that we will be receiving an email, once the design department was done. Well, well. After 2 emails to them to please confirm a time line of when it will be up and running, no reply. Now its felt like.. jip typical. Payment done, so now we just a number in their business. NOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be very carefull when booking. They have a COVID policy however it means nothing. Our holiday got impacted due to COVID and we didnt want to travel, futhermore a family member that would be staying with us at the accommodation tested positive for COVID and obviously now cannot leave home as protocol dictates self isolation. We tried to cancel and it was back and forth until they gave us the final feedback that the booking was not in the relatives name that was COVID positive and therefore the policy does not apply and further said he could have travelled with COVID. Further to that they are not willing to adhere to their own cancellation policy over and above COVID and we basically left with nothing. The nail in the coffin... they confirmed in writing that the place we booked and could not go to any longer for obvious reasons has been booked again and will be occupied for our original dates. Not cool at all.
