Two years down the line, empty promises, numerous visits… paying for a new gutter however leak still persists! The entire reason I got these guys to come and do the job for me is still not resolved. And it’s radio silence…. Unbelievable! Now I need to pay someone else to fix what they were contracted and PAID to do.
After a entire year I miraculously get handed over to debt collectors for fees that I apparently owe them. The relationship went pear shaped when I cancelled and moved to another ISP as they were not able to match the competitor. My services were turned off several times during my notice month, to add that was in hard lockdown and I was working from home. I got fed up and actually said to them just leave it off for good and settled all sundries and moved on with my life. This is terrible behavior, after being a loyal client for so long.
Be very carefull when booking. They have a COVID policy however it means nothing. Our holiday got impacted due to COVID and we didnt want to travel, futhermore a family member that would be staying with us at the accommodation tested positive for COVID and obviously now cannot leave home as protocol dictates self isolation. We tried to cancel and it was back and forth until they gave us the final feedback that the booking was not in the relatives name that was COVID positive and therefore the policy does not apply and further said he could have travelled with COVID. Further to that they are not willing to adhere to their own cancellation policy over and above COVID and we basically left with nothing. The nail in the coffin... they confirmed in writing that the place we booked and could not go to any longer for obvious reasons has been booked again and will be occupied for our original dates. Not cool at all.
Be careful when doing business with these guys. They are legit and the company exists however the service once they receive your deposit is terrible. They don't communicate, rock up whenever they want. Change things as they go and expect the customer to pay for it. Quality of materials are not good at all. All my handles had to be redone as these guys made the holes to big on manufacturing. No all my handles are riveted with huge rivets and covered with black silicone, looks terrible. Installers also don't take care of the product as it is left scratched and dented. Rather pay the little extra for a reputable company that you have some form of recourse against. I just spent in excess of 60K and not happy with the product with a so called 5 year warranty that I'm not sure if it will be in tact as they are holding me ransom for "additional" work that they agreed on but now going against what they said. This is because I had to purchase materials for the team whilst the foreman was nowhere to be found in order for them to complete the job. I requested a reimbur*****t but was told that if that is the case he would invoice me for the additional work that was agreed on upfront. If you have one window to replace, by all means but larger projects, be careful. I don't like writing these bad reviews but where it is due it is due. I hope that this will improve their service and uplift their workmanship and customer service. This is their Facebook page just to be sure you are reviewing the correct business... https://www.facebook.com/dtaluminum/?ref=page_internal
I took my 8 month old 28 cm casserole to the Table Bay mall in Cape Town as the enamel on the inside of the pot starting forming hairline cracks. The store advised they have to escalate the matter which they did and I must commend them on their prompt response and constant communication. The pot was sent to the head office for assessment, and to my disappointment I got the feedback that the hairline cracks are due to me abusing the pot (Which I never did, the pot has been taken care of and all care instructions followed as per booklet). I was told that I was using it on too high heats etc... when I know for a fact I did not do that. I am now left with a R4000 door stopper, O and I get told it is still fine too cook in... Even though you can see that there are tiny fiber's dislodging from the cracks! Absolutely disgusted! The Le Creuset lifetime warranty means nothing!
Two weeks ago I purchased a Non Stick 30cm Casserole. This is after having the cast iron products and in my opinion that is the best pot I have ever owned. I have been back and forth in replacing my non stick cookware and was looking at Le Creuset but just couldn't get it over my heart to pay so much for non stick cookware just to be disappointed, as that is what usually happens. Inevitably they warp, scratch and start peeling. Never the less I took the plunge hoping that because it is a very good brand that they invested a lot of tech to get a really great non stick product... this was not the case, I took the pan and tested it.. Non stick yes works like a charm however after cooking some veggies in the casserole on the stove top the surface was starched already! (Followed recommendations, cooking low heat, cool the pan down before cleaning, used non stick utensils the whole story). I then returned the product to the Canal Walk branch and the staff was very helpful, called the Regional Manager and sorted it out by replacing my pan. Today again used the pan, and what do you know... the same story... fine scratches in the surface. I just paid a fortune for a piece of cookware that scratches so easily.... I don't know what to do now, I don't trust the non stick product, however the cast iron products are number 1...
