I am so disappointed at Salaamat Motors Randfontein. Bought a car from them on the 8th of this month . Firstly they gave me a spare wheel that is not in good condition. When I complained their sales man said they will call me last week to come collect another spare wheel in good condition. On Sunday the 16th same month I got stuck while was driving the car just lost power. Got someone to Jumpstart me so I get home cause I was 2 minutes away from the car. The car had to be Jumpstarted 3 times for me to reach home. The following day decided to go buy a new battery, the car functioned fine. Yesterday I got stuck again while using the new battery which have only 3 days. Asked someone to Jumpstart me. The guy advised me the Alternator is faulty it's not charging the battery. The reason I'm disappointed is because this was never disclosed to me when I was buying a car. I paid the dealer full amount in cash but now I'm spending more on a car that is not even a month old. If there is anyone who can help me or lawyer to assist me in fixing this or getting my money back.

Poor customer care and support
A generally bad dealer, I went there on the 8th September 2025(birthday) from Northwest for a silver 2006 Golf 5 Gti. I get there and I talk to the sales rep on the deck , he assists my partner with a restroom, clean but very smelly ! We go over to the car , he starts it up and we are talking about it. I ask for a test drive. It took a bit of time but eventually he’s supervisors agreed. On the test drive take my drivers license and take a picture (standard procedure) and then they proceed with a take a head and shoulder photo of me and partner (weird but alright cool). Then afterwards, I didnt even get to drive the car !!!! Some one drove it on our behalf. This was very disappointing because imagine buying a car that they don’t allow you to test drive. The representatives there are just full of it , they are so confident in their cars and when you ask about the mechanical warranty…it goes downhill from there. The rep who knows about the car is not the one negotiating with you on the price , it’s the older rep who doesn’t know anything about the car that responds to you on the prices. Honestly I went to three dealers on that day in total and Salaamat was the worst of the three when coming to customer service, customer support and customer care. I never see myself recommending that place to anyone for anything.

Poor customer care and support

My worst nightmare. The the manager at main reef has an attitude and once you pay, they don't care a d*mn. If you are looking to buy a car, please avoid Salaamat at all costs. Imagine paying twice for the same car****

I bought a car from this dealership and the car had a hooter and petrol gauge. Story short, I have been there more than 3 times and still the petrol gauge is still malfunctioning . Whenever I call there they are telling me their electician will is to in and when his in his fully booked. They are fool of stories with attitude.
