Sale of Faulty and Possibly Second-Hand Samsung Products by Game Store and Samsung South Africa I am extremely dissatisfied with both Game Store (Polokwane Mall of the North and Tzaneen branches) and Samsung South Africa due to repeated issues involving faulty products and poor customer service.
I purchased six Samsung items from Game Polokwane Mall of the North. Shockingly, only one of those items has functioned properly. The issues I’ve experienced include:
Mobile Phones: Two Samsung phones stopped working within a week of purchase. Although they were repaired and returned quickly, the fact they failed so soon after purchase raises concerns about the quality.
Sound Bar: I bought a Samsung sound bar which was never delivered even after two months. After following up persistently, I was met with unacceptable and unprofessional responses, including being told, "Come take your money and leave."
Smart TV: The Samsung smart TV also broke down shortly after purchase. It was repaired, only to fail again after a week. Following a DSTV upgrade, it stopped working completely. It took Game and Samsung over a month to respond to my service request, and I received the same treatment as with the sound bar — no proper resolution, just dismissal.
Microwave: The latest issue involves a Samsung microwave still under Game's in-store guarantee. Upon trying to return it to Game Tzaneen, the store refused to honor their warranty and instead referred me to Samsung South Africa, claiming the unit was under a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Now, Samsung is refusing to repair the microwave, alleging contamination, and is threatening to discard it unless I collect it — unrepaired. This behavior is completely unacceptable and highly suspicious.
This ongoing pattern raises serious questions about whether the products being sold are new, or if they are second-hand or factory rejects. The poor treatment from both Game and Samsung South Africa is appalling and shows a complete lack of respect for consumer rights.
I am demanding full accountability from both Game Store and Samsung South Africa, including proper repairs, replacements, or refunds for the defective products I was sold. to date the matter is not resolve they don't want to repair my microwave or refund me my money
