We bought a piano from a person named Matt Chirisa. He advertises himself as Sandton Pianos. He operates from 172 Main Road, Lonehill. He sold us a piano which was sounding good in his "shop". However, when he delivered it, he came with less people than necessary and was not able to place it, where we wanted, which had been discussed with him from the beginning. Also, he said that he will deliver at 13 o'clock, but kept on delaying, without any notification to us. We had to phone him constantly and then he would tell us he would be there in 30 minutes. After many 30 minutes of waiting time, he ended up delivering the piano at 18.45 in the evening. He then placed it at a spot, and then had to come back another day with more people. For that he wanted us to pay extra, even though it was discussed with him in the beginning. When he came back and placed the piano in the correct location, he started to tune it. He also started to take pieces of the piano and go back to his "shop" or the hardware store to fix it. He would then disappear for hours and eventually return with one small piece. Then he would take another small piece and do the same. It was very obvious, that he actually does not know how to fix pianos. He is simply selling them and he know how to play. That's all. Other than that he does not know what he is doing. Also, he claims to be the only piano repair person in the entire city of Johannesburg. Please do not be ****med by this person. His pianos are in a terrible state. Get a real piano tuner to go there with you and even open the piano and inspect it thoroughly before you make an offer. We unfortunately had to learn the hard way and we hope we can save some people your hard earned money.
