I had ordered an insulated cup which is ceramic coated on the inside. Lizzard advertises that it does not alter the taste of the drink. I have used it now a couple of times. It is unfortunately changing the taste of the drink, which is coffee in my case. I had sent 2 emails to lizzard onto the advertised email address on the webpage. No response at all! I even tried calling both numbers on the webpage. Both of them do not have any response either. I am very disappointed with my purchase. I will definitely not recommend Lizzard to anyone. This is really bad customer service if a business does not respond at all.
I had ordered a few cables for my monitor and laptop connection. The communication from FirstShop during the delivery process impressed me. Also afterwards, when I had some technical questions regarding my ordered cables, a friendly gentleman by the name of Werner helped me with lots of information and good and fast responses via email. I will definitely recommend FirstShop to everyone looking for computer hardware. Keep up the good work!
We bought a piano from a person named Matt Chirisa. He advertises himself as Sandton Pianos. He operates from 172 Main Road, Lonehill. He sold us a piano which was sounding good in his "shop". However, when he delivered it, he came with less people than necessary and was not able to place it, where we wanted, which had been discussed with him from the beginning. Also, he said that he will deliver at 13 o'clock, but kept on delaying, without any notification to us. We had to phone him constantly and then he would tell us he would be there in 30 minutes. After many 30 minutes of waiting time, he ended up delivering the piano at 18.45 in the evening. He then placed it at a spot, and then had to come back another day with more people. For that he wanted us to pay extra, even though it was discussed with him in the beginning. When he came back and placed the piano in the correct location, he started to tune it. He also started to take pieces of the piano and go back to his "shop" or the hardware store to fix it. He would then disappear for hours and eventually return with one small piece. Then he would take another small piece and do the same. It was very obvious, that he actually does not know how to fix pianos. He is simply selling them and he know how to play. That's all. Other than that he does not know what he is doing. Also, he claims to be the only piano repair person in the entire city of Johannesburg. Please do not be ****med by this person. His pianos are in a terrible state. Get a real piano tuner to go there with you and even open the piano and inspect it thoroughly before you make an offer. We unfortunately had to learn the hard way and we hope we can save some people your hard earned money.
Thank you, David and Sfiso for your assistance and the very good support with the replacement of my lithium batteries under warranty. Communication could be a little faster, but other than that, it was a very good service.
STAY AWAY from this media marketing company! This company has made promises that they could handle web development and professional media marketing. Once they have the money, they tried to do what they promised, but unfortunately unsuccessful. I have asked for webdesign, which was done in a very poor and unprofessional way. They are not able or willing to give progress reports for social media marketing. Their social media ideas were okay from an ideas standpoint, but often times I had to give input as the client. They would not have ideas of their own. And if they had, it would not be helpful and was not creative. From a professional social media marketing company and web developer I expect more. Also, they are located in Durban and just use a Johannesburg telephone number. I have sent multiple emails even to their directors. Not one of them have ever phoned or messaged me back. I would never recommend this company to anyone! Please be careful and do a proper research. Use a professional company, which is located close to you with an office, where you can go to and have meetings with them personally. There are many companies doing this type of work but not all know what they are doing (just like with every industry, I guess!)
Our experience with Laura Lattanzio-Joubert from O-Yes Properties in Kyalami is of a very pleasant nature. She is very friendly and listens to us. She keeps following up with us and doesn't seem to be pushy on making us just sign. We find that very considerate and accomodating. We can highly recommend Laura and the O-Yes Kyalami team to anyone. They are very responsive and always give us all the required information and documents. Such service mentality we have not experienced with most estate agents. If all estate agents had this kind of work ethics like Laura and her team, the reputation of estate agents could be a lot better, we believe. Keep it up, Laura! Well done!
The team of Sunny Pool Covers put a solar bubble blanket and re-fitted my existing safety net onto my pool. The cut the bubble blanket according to the size and shape of my pool. To re-fit the safety net, they had to drill onto the coping to mount the hook plates for the net. All this was done very professionally. From the beginning they were very professional. They came and assessed the job at my house. I received a quote the same day. They recommended this solution to me rather than spending too much money on a full PVC cover, which they could also supply. However, since I already had an existing net, he recommended that he can re-fit it. They were punctual. All the work was done timeously and professionally. I will definitely recommend Sunny Pool Covers!
Very reliable and accurate electrical contractor. Jay-E Snyman does all types of electrical work for domestic and commercial. He even does solar installations for commercial and residential. What I liked about him is his accuracy and friendliness. He is always helpful and very accommodating. And reasonably priced. He is a knowledgeable and trustworthy person and a certified professional. There should be more service providers like this! Awesome service!
Initially I thought this company is trustworthy and reliable. The owner, Marlon Whitten himself did the installation of a solar batteries and inverter for my house. He unfortunately installed expensive lithium ion batteries in an enclosure, which are not approved. When I confronted him with regards to the enclosure for the batteries he got very defensive and hung up the phone. Since then he would not take my calls. I really thought this is a reliable and trustworthy person, which is why I initially gave his details to friends and family for electrical work. He comes off as professional, he is knowledgeable but unfortunately he is taking short-cuts for the quick money and doesn't seem to use his knowledge for his clients' benefits. When he gets confronted he becomes defensive and starts swearing at clients, which I have witnessed while he was at my premises when he was talking on the phone to clients. After these experiences I would not recommend him.
I asked this so-called "handyman", who calls himself the "Smiling Handyman" (actual name: Chris Hanekom) to sand down my wooden doors and windows. I realized that verbal agreements don’t mean anything to him. Against our verbal agreements, he changed it to his favor in the contract. He asked for a payment of more than 80% as a deposit to even start the work. Since he was a referral of a friend of mine, I trusted him and gave him the contract. Unfortunately, from then on it went downhill. He first outsourced the work to some daily wage workers. Those daily wage workers were not happy with the money Chris Hanekom wanted to pay them, so they refused to do the work for him. The following day, he himself came to do the work and that's when everything changed, his behavior towards me, his tone, simply everything went downhill. Soon I realized that he has no intention to do this job. He was most of the time doing a little bit here and there and then walking around the house to look at his other worker. He came with only one worker to do a whole house with 23 windows and 4 doors. Our nanny told me, that the moment I left the house, he was sitting around doing nothing. He gave me so much attitude and made it clear that he doesn't want to do the upper floor. He said he doesn't have the ladder etc. I asked him, why he didn't tell me all of this earlier before I paid him. No response. He said he will refund me R1,800. I have paid him an advance payment of R4,340. Last week Thursday, him and his worker continued after 2 days of not working at all. They did a little bit of work and before lunchtime they were suddenly gone. He took 2 cans of varnish (for which I had paid for), which he agreed to leave behind for me, so that I can finish the top floor of my house. He left behind a half empty tin of varnish. Without letting me know and discussing the work he has done, he simply took all the material and his worker and just left. When I called him and asked why he left without telling me, he simply said, he didn't want to disturb. To his luck our estate gate was not working that day, so he could exit without me knowing. The matter of incidents and his method of dealing with clients showed me that he is a fraudster and thief. I tried to talk to him in a calm and decent manner, but unfortunately unsuccessful. I can only warn anybody to use this guy for any job! He is dishonest and lazy. The quality of his work is terrible and absolutely unprofessional. If anyone is interested, send me your mail addresses and I will send photos of his work. He put varnish in such a poor manner that it looks absolutely unprofessional and messy. He also messed on all the walls and floors next to the door and window frames. Now I have to get someone professional to do the work properly. And I have to paint the walls and window sills where he messed as well. It seems like the moment he has your money, he changes and comes up with all kinds of excuses to reduce his workload to maximize his profit. He has a profile on LinkedIn and he looks and comes off as trustworthy and professional, but all that is deceiving. People like this should be stopped! Unfortunately, these kinds of people put shame on the profession of handymen.
