I've had my Seiko Astron for roughly 10 years, it never leaves my wrist, so the silicon strap was starting to look tired. I went into Seiko Boutique Woodlands to inquire about the replacement strap. I was informed that the watch would have to be sent into their repairs department (5-6 weeks) and, to top it off, I would have to pay for the new strap upfront (R6500). Needless to say I walked out of the shop very disappointed. Anyway, to cut a long story short I ended up ordering a replacement strap from the UK (genuine Seiko strap + strap changing tool) on Thursday and fitted it myself this morning (Monday). Nowhere near 5 weeks and a fair bit cheaper than R6500.
BTW Seiko Boutique I'm still waiting for your repairs department to send through the official quote!
