Very bad experience with Simply We have 5 months trying to claim for both funeral cover and life cover the status is not changing the lady keeps saying the are still doing assessments the whole process is tiring and joining this policies with the hope of living your loved ones in a good financial position but this is something that is unacceptable.I would not refer anyone to them

Horrible,horrible,horrible service ,frustrating has turned into hate. I logged a phone claim,it got approved, but no waybill number was sent,no information about the courier was communicated. They said phone will be delivered 3-5 business working days. I'm writing this, it's the seventh day and I still don't have a phone ,which I heavily rely om for work. November 24th was the beginning of the count down. I'm writing this it's the 2nd of December 2025. I also blaim telkom for using this insurance because they advertise it to us consumers. I checked for other reviews of them,an non are positive whatsoever ,it's sad to see we all experiencing the same thing.I have sent emails asking for the courier service and waybill ,to no response. And just to add on,my sister lost her phone in Joburg last time ,and had to claim,it literally took her 2 months to get a replacement phone.

I bought a contract phone at Telkom and I took their insurance. I found out when I was making a claim that it is under written by OMART I knew there and then that there will be problems because old mutual has a bad reputation. So I sent my phone for repairs, it had a broken camera. They told me that excess is going to be R3000 and I asked how much was the phone was quoted for and the answer was R3500 basically I was paying for the repairs they were only going to pay R500. I asked why was that the case they told me that terms and conditions state that I should pay 15% of the amount that the phone is insured for regardless of the cost of repairs. I told them to return my phone and cancel the insurance because I'm just wasting my money, I have already paid R5700 since last year. After canceling it they debited money on the 15th I reversed it and they debited again after a few days. Don't ever take an insurance with TelkomSa and Telkom is also complicit because why are they still using this company knowing very well that customers are complaining about it. I canceled everything I had with Telkom too

Telkom Insurance underwriten by Omart is the last Insurance you can resort to when you want to insure your device, I wouldn't recommend any consumer to insure with them. I submitted a claim two weeks ago, my premiums are all up to date. The level of incompetence they have, when I submitted my claim to my surprise they have no records of my insured device IMEI. I have been sending emails back to back with no proper response. I am paying for the service but they can't even provide the service. I have submitted all the documents required they still asking me to send a claim form, I had to ask to speak to the team leader. Only when the call is transferred to the team leader, she apologies and says they have my claim form. What game is this? Guys please never make the mistake of insuring your device with them, you will call every day they will give you vague answers

Telkom Insurance underwriten by Omart is the last Insurance you can resort to when you want to insure your device, I wouldn't recommend any consumer to insure with them. Telkom Insure is very disappointing They took in my phone for repairs and their job was shaddy. Only when I rebooked in my phone then Telkom sent it to a wrong center that the people at the repair center alerted me that the issue is irreparable rather just replace the phone. so Telkom insure was just going to be taking money and not doing proper job so people can keep coming back to pay excess fees. Phone is back in for repairs. I have no phone now since 2024 August.

Telkom Insure is very disappointing They took in my phone for repairs and their job was shaddy. Only when I rebooked in my phone then Telkom sent it to a wrong center that the people at the repair center alerted me that the issue is irreparable rather just replace the phone. so Telkom insure was just going to be taking money and not doing proper job so people can keep coming back to pay excess fees. If you want to insure your phone DON’T DO IT L and if you’re insured with them CANCEL while you have time to find another service provider The insurance service is horrible. You pay premiums every month, but when it’s time to claim, they make the process unbearable. I insured my phone in 2022, and in October last year, my phone broke. I submitted a claim, but after about 10 days, I received no feedback at all. I emailed to follow up and was told my phone was not part of the claim because it was still at the store and hadn’t been collected. I went the entire months of October and November without a phone, and after all that waiting, my phone still wasn’t fixed. Frustrated, I decided to cancel the insurance. I was informed that cancellation takes 30 days, which I accepted, and I even paid for that final month. However, now they’re demanding a cancellation fee, even though there is no mention of such a fee in the contract. When I called to address this, the agent I spoke to was incredibly rude. This experience has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing.

They are so unprofessional it took them the whole month to give feedback i had to call and check everytime with regards to my cellphone claim the next thing they are saying they decline my claim just because my device was lost without my Telkom sim in it,wow! Why would i claim knowing very well that the device was not used with the service providers sim card?,like really!!! This is so funny but I think they need to try this with someone but definitely not ME I'm not gonna beg down they need to tell me how they conducted their so called investigations finish and klaar!
