I am extremely disappointed and honestly hurt by the treatment I received at Skins Cavendish. I had been searching high and low for a specific perfume and was genuinely excited to finally find a store that stocks it. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted, ready to purchase.
Before I could even properly ask about the fragrance, the sales assistant took one look at me and immediately said they don’t have testers and that I should go to the V&A instead. The tone and manner in which it was said felt incredibly dismissive and made me feel judged, as if assumptions were being made about whether I could afford the product.
No customer should ever be made to feel humiliated or unwelcome when walking into a store, especially when they are there to buy. It completely ruined what should have been an exciting purchase and left a very bad impression. Customer service like this is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope management addresses how customers are treated in their store.
