I booked a skydiving experience with Skydive Pretoria @ Wonderboom on February 13, 2025, for three people to jump on March 8, 2025. We received immediate confirmation, and everything seemed good to go. However, on March 7th at 4pm - just 18 hours before our scheduled jump - we received a WhatsApp message stating that one instructor had fallen ill, and our entire booking was cancelled and rescheduled for the following weekend. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. When I asked if the 2 remaining jumpers could still proceed with their instructors, I was given the weak excuse that they "could not guarantee they would jump together". Instead of making an effort to accommodate them, they simply pushed our booking aside, prioritizing larger groups instead (my opinion). This was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my daughter's 21st birthday, and the disappointment was heart-breaking. They made no effort to help and showed zero concern for making the 2 remaining jumpers' dream come true - even though they had instructors assigned! Cancelling plans made a month in advance with just a casual WhatsApp message and no alternative solutions is completely unprofessional. If you're booking with this company, be aware that they may not honor your reservation when the day arrives. Our experience left a bitter taste, and I would not recommend them to anyone who expects reliability, professionalism, or decent customer service.
