I have booked at SkydiveDurban on the 7th of June, for the 21st of June, for tandem jumps for two persons. My booking for 11 am was confirmed by Vernon on the 8th. On the morning of the 21st, the weather was perfect. We were on holiday at Ballito for a week. At 8:31 am on the morning, I received a WhatsApp from Vernon, notifying me that the plane had to go in for “routine maintenance”. He said he will keep me posted. An hour later I enquired again. Vernon said he will chase them up and let me know. Another hour later I enquired again, asking whether we will still jump that day, as I would like to plan my day. Vernon got irritated and replied: “how long is a piece of string?” We then agreed to rather cancel, because he could not tell me, and I prefer to be treated like a customer.
