I am surprised with the positive reviews received by Smart Energy SA. I share the sentiment of the negative reviews on the platform. I have not often experienced such unprofessional service. They are totally unable to meet appointments with the same excuses, caught up at another client, forgot, etc, etc. They completely disrespect the Client's time. Once they face loosing the business, they over promised and then offered me the same excuse of a ******* in Gauteng on the morning of the installation while all components should have been at my property in Cape Town already (they lie to Customers as a standard protocol, and does not think about the silly excuses they rotate while stringing you along). They simply lie, deceive string you along as far as possible. The installation was eventually done, and is working well..... but then my roof started leaking as a result of improper installation protocols. I now sit with a leaking roof and water damage as a result. The warranty they offer on workmanship is not worth the paper it is written on (I assume the same will apply to the equipment warranty). They, true to form promised to meet on site and then simply does not show, stringing you along and not responding to correspondence. I assume they do not have Contractors All Risk Insurance and is therefor ignoring my requests. You will also not be able to escalate to a more snr person since the culture in the Company and treatment of Customers is cultivated from management ie John Chirwa Director / Owner and office Management Gail. If you use Smart Energy SA, you will only have yourself to blame.
