Good day
I trust this email finds you well. On 2022/11/29 I bought a car from SMG BMW Umhlanga, used Audi A4. When I have asked the salesman about the service book, he informed it’s digital and it was advertised as full service history. Around May/ June I took the car in to Audi to fix the problem I had with my steering wheel.
When I took the car to Audi century city they informed me the car has a missing service history, 15000,30000,45000km. I informed the salesman I bought the car from and he said he will investigate why the car doesn’t have service history.
I then contacted the manager of used car and dealer principal, they offered to buy the car back, less than outstanding amount and not settle the full outstanding balance amount. I then refused and informed them that they must provide me with the full service history or take the car back as it’s not my fault they sold a car with no service history.
I informed them I’m not returning the car back because I simple doing a trade in or not in need of the car but because it was advertised as full service history and the price I paid was for the car with full service history. I will accept full service history or them taking the car back with full settlement regardless of how long or much I have driven the car.
I would really appreciate it if you would intervene in this situation. If I knew or advertised correctly as no full service history then I wouldn’t have taken the car.
