I purchased a 2.5kg iwisa no.1 super maize meal from super spar. I bought it from Kenworth super spar Bloemfontein on the 13th of December. I opened it on Christmas morning to make breakfast porridge and I was shocked to find worms in it. This has never happened before.

I sent two emails with photos, complaining about weavings and worms in a fresh pack of Iwisa maize meal purchased locally. I never received any response.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the level of service I’ve received. It's not even worth a proper review. I submitted a complaint about sour worms that had a strange white substance protruding from them about a month ago. While the company was quick to collect the sample, I’ve received no meaningful feedback since. Worse still, they’ve now completely stopped responding to my emails. The sweets are great when there are no issues, but the lack of accountability and follow-up is unacceptable. The only reason I’m even writing this is because I’ve just bought another bag with the exact same issue. At this point, I feel so disheartened by the lack of response that I don’t even see the point in complaining again, clearly nothing will be resolved. I’ll be switching to another brand as soon as one gets it right.

Purchase Blue ribbon bread at a retail store on the 9th and the expiry date is only the 12the when I made sandwiches yesterday morning I discovered that the breads texture doesn't feel that fresh and as I go on making sandwiches there were 4 slices in the middel with holes in it.I have never came across this before we always buy blue ribbon bread even thought there are other bread on shelfs that are much cheaper we still buy blue ribbon.I am very disappointed in this.

On May 30, 2025, I purchased a 5 kg pack of Iwisa maize meal from my local Usave retailer in Ravensmead. As I was preparing to make some maize meal porridge, I opened the packaging and was shocked to find something moving inside. Upon closer inspection, I discovered it was a maggot wriggling in the maize meal. To my dismay, I realized that the entire pack was infested with maggots. This experience has raised significant concerns for me regarding food safety and health. I was really looking forward to cooking with this maize meal, and now I feel disappointed and uneasy. I will need to return to the store to request a refund, but I am also worried because this was the last 5 kg pack on the shelf. This suggests that there may be more infested products that have already been sold to other customers, which is quite alarming.

Star Bakeries in Aliwal North owned by someone in Grahamstown.. the most ******* company we ever had this side, the company is forcing drivers to drive broken trucks, unroadworthy Vehicles and does not pay the traffic fines until the driver is given warrant of arrest.. and this company is deducting every employees salaries, does not pay uif, it failed to comply with section 81(1) , the company was even given a comliance order on the 07th of December 2024 but still refuse to comply.. the are monies that are supposed to be paid to the employees, the back pay's of 2023 that the employer was robbing the stuff even now the employees haven't got their monies.

Hello Peter please help me tell these people if they don't want their default products must just say so.I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks for them to collect and only for them to send someone to collect of which I must use my taxi money that l don't have to go and give to them They have my address but the are saying they can't come to me but rather me go to where they're and drop by them.please tell them for me they must ****off and I'm going to throw their price of ****s in the big.Imagine keeping rotten things for 2 weeks and now I'm also stress coz l don't have money for taxi and also the money l wasted buying their **** products.Please you didn't solve this one for me keep the money and I'm going to throw these nonsense things of yours.mxn

Emailed Premier regarding Cake flour with tiny insects on 26.02.2025. Communicated with Sibongile Baloyi 5 X. Last she asked me for pictures. Photograph was unsuccessful as insects are tiny. I suggested they collect as it was 2 × 2.5kg. Dissapointed. To date no response
