I had purchased the wheat semolina on the 17th of March 2025 at Townsquare Spar in Richards Bay. I had stored the sealed packet in my fridge to use on Thursday night however when I had opened the sealed packet last night I did not notice anything but after adding the second cup of wheat semolina to my pot there was a dead moth in my semolina. I checked the packet and found a worm and eggs as well. To me this looks like it had come from the factory like this.
This is very disgusting and disappointing for such a well known brand. If I had not put the second cup of semolina in my pot I would have never known that the packet was contaminated!! I was going to use this semolina to prepare a dessert for my family. If we had consumed this contaminated semolina we would have ended up very sick and most probably in hospital.
I do not understand how a renowned brand like Snowflake can even send out a product like this from their factory. I have always purchased snowflake products but I now have to think twice before doing so in future. This is honestly very disgusting for such a huge brand. Your product definitely does not live up to your slogan "to fresh to flop"! It's honestly very sad. I had emailed the customer care and they had asked for my contact number but has not contacted me since. Pathetic customer service!
