I booked for R210 set paid deposit, got there on time then I added some foil on my nails which I had to add R30 on each finger,after a day tips broke I spoke to Sona the owner of the salon she ignored my measages for 3days then on a Monday texted her again she responded as if she didn’t understand the language gave me attitude she asked who did my nails and gave me a very late slot to come so my nails I told her I’m working I cannot make it to that time she told me she cannot arrange anything for me FESTIVE CLIENTS PAID as if I did my nails for free till today she has done nothing but to tell me I’ve already paid so what.

Please do not be misled by the advertised prices. I contacted the salon owner and made a booking on 4 December 2025 for an appointment scheduled at 9:00 AM on 23 December 2025, for which I paid a R200 deposit. Upon arrival for my appointment, I was only assisted at 10:12 AM, more than an hour later. The initial nail technician did not shape my nails correctly, resulting in an uneven finish. When I raised this concern with the owner, she stated that she could not see any issue. A second technician attempted to correct the shape but appeared inexperienced, as she mentioned that her primary role was doing eyebrows. Eventually, a third nail technician assisted in correcting the set, despite not being the one who originally started the service. At the till, while paying the outstanding balance of R230, the owner forcefully took R300 from my hand. When my husband approached the gate to calmly seek clarification, the owner immediately began shouting and screaming before he could speak. It was also evident that multiple clients with appointments and paid deposits were left waiting for extended periods before being assisted. The service was disorganised, with repeated requests for client names, confusion about booked services, and unprofessional treatment of staff, who were spoken to as though they were *************. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing due to poor service delivery, lack of professionalism, and an unacceptable attitude from management.

Not even worth the one star! I had a very disappointing experience at Sona’s Beauty & Laser, largely due to the unprofessional conduct of Avashni. From the moment I interacted with her, she came across as rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. Her attitude was not only unwelcoming but also made the entire experience uncomfortable. She’s shallow, unrefined, and completely out of her depth in a role that demands professionalism and awareness. In addition to her poor behavior, she seemed inexperienced and unqualified for the role she was in. There was no effort to communicate clearly, provide reassurance, or make the treatment feel professional. Her overall manner and lack of courtesy were a complete turnoff and left me questioning the standards of this salon. I would not recommend this place based on my experience, and I hope the management takes steps to address the quality of service and staff training. Avashni’s conduct was a total reflection of poor training, poor character, and a complete disregard for the customer experience. It’s astonishing that someone like this is employed in a customer-facing role. AVOID this place at all costs!!! There is nothing relaxing, welcoming, or professional about it — especially if you have the misfortune of dealing with Avashni. I’ve also heard from the nail technicians that Avashni is consistently unprofessional and rude in her interactions with them. This place was a total disappointment—disorganized and chaotic, made worse by Avashni, who was extremely rude and clearly lacks basic customer service skills and professionalism! This business should be shut down!!! Filthy AF! Noleen, who did my eyebrows, was very rough during the threading process—it felt as though she was pulling at my skin rather than just the hair.

I recently had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Sona Nails and Laser. I had booked a nail combo and they agreed to take me as the last client, with the arrangement that I would return to complete the service. Since I cannot take morning appointments due to my work schedule, I requested another late slot. To my shock, I was then told that my money had been forfeited simply because I didn’t show up at a time that I never agreed to in the first place. When I tried to explain, instead of professionalism I was met with hostility I was yelled at, called a ****, and told outright that my money would not be refunded. I was spoken to with such rudeness and disrespect Not only was I ****** of my money, but also of the basic courtesy and respect a paying customer deserves. This was an awful experience and I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I have supported this business for a while but recently noticed the decline in service like unbelievably. Avashni has pathetic customer service and i wonder how she thinks this business will last. Her daughter is trained to have the same mentality and they both treat you like they are doing you a damn favor! Constantly on the phone when you go there but try getting an appointment, you wait days for a reply or for them to even answer the phone! I purchased a voucher for a colleague out of convenience as a birthday gift since she does go to this establishment, whats the point of buying a voucher if i must then go to the salon to collect it?? I then told her send me a picture of the voucher because she had apparently "printed it" and had it in store to which she rep**** with a blank voucher, no name, no value or type of service. How will i now send that to my colleague? Why not just take a picture of the apparent printed voucher that you have? After back and forth she tries to call me at 9pm to explain herself to which i rejected the call. I then told her to just give me refund because I've purchased so many vouchers before online and this is not how it works, to which she says its very concerning that after she sent me a voucher i want a refund, what can i do with a blank voucher lady??? There's no ref number or anything, literally BLANK! Then she expects me to go to the salon for a cash refund after i sent my banking details. The whole point of me buying online is because I CANNOT COME TO THE SALON, i just had a baby and cant get to the salon! To this day i have not been refunded so i hope my hard earned money makes her rich and buys her some business skills! ****** pathetic excuse of a business, its not wonder your staff gossip about you the entire time they are doing nails , mocking you infront of customers!

I called to book an appointment on behalf of my sister. The lady didn't even greet, she just heard a man's voice and she rep**** "You called a wrong number. We are a females only nail salon" and she hung up. Tried calling back twice phone was unanswered. What a rude person!

A truly rude and disrespectful owner Avashni Maharaj.... Booked a soak off with her and she scheduled me as requested. Got to the establishment a few minutes early and was attended to by the nail technician. The technician suggested that I have just a coat to protect the nails as I'd decided to give my nails a break from gel.. (My own nails?.. I'm always charged R40 for a soak off... Well, This lady does not care about customers.... She wanted to charge me R160 just for a clear coat, which I declined. I get to pay and informed her daughter that I only had a soak... I'm advised that they cannot use the card machine for under R50... This lady is so rude... She lets her daughter know in my presence that she thought I had a Combo special.... And had she known it was just the soak off, she would not have given me the appt!. As per Avashni, they could have been attending to other customers that wanted her special promo.... She's uncouth, brash and absolutely disrespectful.... No customer service at all from her... Struts around and makes you uncomfortable with her glare and unfriendly attitude.... People can make or break your business... She's obviously too conceited to understand this... I sent her a message making it known that I did not appreciate her comments in front of customers that were being attended to near the 'reception area :.... And she basically blamed me... I was so charged R80 for a soak off... Ripper, Rude,... Will never support this estab again

Terrible service. The owner has no customer service skills. I went to get my eyebrows done and the lady cut me in the middle so Deep now I have a scar and there was no proper apology on their end.
