"Sassa office Taung doesn't care about the public at all, a typical example of someone who chose a career for money instead of passion. My grandmother had obtained proof of an old-age grant for my nephew's tertiary application, as it was a requirement. She was told to produce proof that it's for my nephew. Old as she is, she had to go to the internet café to get an email address so I could send her a letter from the tertiary institution. She also had to go to the ATM to collect the money I sent to her for payment of printouts, as this proof was demanded in hard copies. When I called Sassa to inquire about the procedure for obtaining proof, I was told that no proof has to be adduced in order for my grandmother's request. To add insult to injury, my grandmother was sent from pillar to post, running around like a headless chicken, wasting her time and energy on unnecessary errands. It's heartbreaking that she had to go through this ordeal, and it's clear that the system is failing our vulnerable citizens. Sassa officials in Taung, you're not doing the community a favor; they're entitled to the services. You need them; they don't need you. Change your attitude towards the public or resign. There are thousands, if not millions, of unemployed graduates searching for the job that you don't appreciate."

I'm reaching out for assistance with my SASSA R370 payment, which I haven't received since March 2025. Despite multiple attempts to appeal, I've been met with frustration and delay. Today (12.09.2025), I spoke with Nondumiso at the contact center, who informed me that the system will be under maintenance for 30 days. This means I'll have to wait even longer to access my funds. I have also sent an email to grantenquiries@sassa.gov.za since May 2025 regarding this issue, but I have yet to receive a resolution. As an unemployed individual with no source of income, this situation is dire. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this issue and receive my overdue payment.

I'm very unsatisfied, unhappy and extremely disappointed in the customer service. It's been months since I'm trying to change my cellphone number. I went through all the channels but I haven't received any communication from sassa whatsoever

My SRD grant has been declined incorrectly for the month of May and August 2020 . June and July were paid but my situation has not changed. I have written to the Office of the President as well. This incompetence causes unnecessary distress.

I contacted their call center trying to get thier VAT number. they gave me the switchboard number ********** 000.. Nobody answered after 20 minutes of waiting tried calling in again 5 times and waited everytime for minutes.. nobody answered so gave up.
