Mileage Tampering.

Bought a 2013 Audi Q5 from southgate wheels in October 2024.

Car was advertised with only 169 thousand kilos on the clock, i requested a photo and received one of 172 415 thousand kilos, i then spoke to a audi centre in welkom they said its not possible because that car was in for general maintenance at a audi centre in Mbombela on 3 June 2021 and already had 175 592 thousand kilos on the clock. I spoke to Kiasha and explained what i found and she convinced me that it was only a mistake and the wrong Odometer photo was sent to me. She then sent me a new Odometer with 183 129 thousand kilos on the clock. I decided to proceed with the purchase of this vehicle as we all make mistakes and it was nothing major. Now 1year 5 Months later the car had a issue with a water pump again nothing major because i was advised by southgate to take a warranty. I then wanted to submit a claim but to my surprise when i gave them the current Kilos on the vehicle the lady said thats not possible because i bought it with 235 011 thousand kilos on the clock back in 2024 ?

I spoke to Kiasha again and she again gave me a answer that everything was fine and all will be sorted that was the last of it now i can call to no avail yet if i use a different number she answers and responds with a excuse as soon as i tell her who i am. She does not respond to messages I'm just left to sort out their mess.

The short and long of this story is i now paid for a warranty to assist me if something should go wrong that i cant use because the cars kilos was tampered with.

I have documentation that reads as follows. - Audi centre Mbombela General maintenance 3 June 2021 Odometer 175 592 Thousand Kilos. (Received by Lindsay Saker Welkom) - Southgate wheels Invoice 4 October 2024 Odometer reading 169 739 thousand kilos. - DEKRA report 10 May 2024 Odometer reading 183 129 thousand kilos - Southgate Wheels DELIVERY INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE 5 October 2024 Odometer reading was 169 739 thousand and then scratched out with pen and written in 183 129 thousand kilos. - MOTORVAPS GRAPHITE WARRANTY (PLUS) (V5) (35%) 4 October 2024 Odometer reading 235 011 thousand kilos. - Odometer reading Received by Kiasha via whatsapp on 4 October 2024 was 172 415 and the same day another photo of 183 129 thousand.

Be warned confirm Odometer readings thoroughly before purchasing because once you sign your on your own.
