Inspection helped me sell my house in 3 weeks.

I've seen a couple of Space Invader's adverts in the Garden Route recently.

Didn't really understand the idea of Home Inspections until I wanted to put my property up for sale.

I had a couple estate agencies coming over for valuations and offers to list my property. Prices they suggested were all over the place. Each agency had a different disclosure document that I had to sign.

One agency recommended a home inspection, so I called Space Invaders.

Got an appointment for the next day and inspector arrived in time.

I was under the impression that a Home Inspection is there to look exclusively for problems in the house before it goes up for sale. This was not the case as it was explained by the inspector. Although finding issues that can impact the value/safety of my house was the departing point, it also highlighted what was NOT wrong with my house.

The real estate agent that requested the inspection, managed to be the agent that eventually (3 weeks later) sold my house, at exactly their listing price.

I am convinced the inspection report contributed to the price I got for my home and was the reason it was sold only 3 weeks after listing.
