I am posting this after unsuccessfully trying to resolve the matter directly with SparesBoyz.I purchased a computer box (ECU) from SparesBoyz Durban on 12 January for R2 500. Since the purchase, I have had two separate technicians attempt to programme the ECU, both unsuccessfully, as the unit would not communicate or function.To confirm whether the issue was vehicle-related, I sourced another ECU from Johannesburg, which programmed successfully and worked immediately. This confirmed that the ECU purchased from SparesBoyz was defective.I initially engaged with consultants at branch level, who were unfortunately unable to assist. I then sent a formal escalation email on 28 January, requesting a refund, as this was clearly a defective product and not a change-of-mind return. To date, I have received no response to that email.The lack of feedback or accountability is extremely disappointing. I followed the correct process, allowed time for professional diagnostics, and escalated the matter appropriately, yet I am still being ignored.I am requesting:
- A refund of R2 500
- A response from a branch manager or senior representative
- A resolution to this matter as a matter of urgency
I trust that SparesBoyz will review this complaint and engage constructively to resolve the issue.
